just a normal topic(sticky) where you "warn" all of us that
hotlinking results in a temp ban from now on

and not just ban JAroen for that...as I read in this or
another topic, it is indeed a bit a Phob vs JAroen thing,
isn´t it?
I still wonder what you would have done if I hotlinked an
mp3 or another member

i think hotlinking here or there maybe isn't too big of a
deal (hard to have the mods read *every* post, or catch
every link), but jAroen spammed in *many* threads where to
get the ANALORD 10 (i..e, his mp3 thread).

This thread title is misleading.

I skimmed over this whole thread, and there aren't any
illegal mp3's in here!

wtf!?

>:-(

i don't regret a single thing. i would have done the same
again w/o any hesitate. of course, jaroen is mostly a pain
in the arse. not for you, not for everyone, but for me. and
like i said, before, he should be extremely satisfied of
still having his account valid. he's living on the edge all
the time, and he knows it, by emails and such...

bit late in responding, but I have a love/hate-relationship
with this thread.

dog_belch already pretty much summed it up, but anyway - all
hotlinking to mp3s of copyrighted releases isn't legal -
that seems common sense.

but then the hotlinking before (of which I've noticed little
anyway) has never been as blatant as hotlinking to a
complete release on the day that most people received it.

shut up!!!! What are you thinking!! This is an
amusement park!!! Dont try to confuse the others. This board
is not an electronic music board.

Damn it how many times do i have to say that.

[/bullshit/sarcasm/whatever]

{ps} There are a number of posters that come back more often
due to the light hearted nature of this board. Just because
you did a 180 out of no where and started talking down to us
doesnt mean we have to change our normal behavior. kthxbye

Phobia - can you get TuneMX to put a filter on "kthxbye" -
except when it's used for comedic purposes - kthxbye

I know, kthx, that's why I put in the disclaimer about
"comedic" umm, intent.

I know this thread is "about" not linking to illegal MP3s
and I agree totally, but it is interesting, I think,
specially with Analord, that obviously anyone with even a
passing interest in "The Twin" would want to hear it as it's
first proper release really since Drukqs (I don't count
Smojphace), but you can't seriously expect only the 1000 or
so people daft enough to pay 40 pounds (and I am one of
them, one of the sillier ones no doubt) to be able to hear
it. There should be a means of legitimitally checking it
out. Because, if Rephlex are so confident that it's "lush"
(just a tip, stop fucking using that word) then .... you
know... I'm bored of what I am typing now. But you get the
gist.

I see in the possible future that they plan on putting it on
bleep. Or so i would think.

lush is 100% appropriate for an analogue synth.

"Lush" no, "Ballsy" or "Fullsome" yes.
