Friendly-Grant suggest there's also an Unfriendly Grant.

"Chosen Lords" is a strange name, as well. Does it refer to
anything (apart from the Lord of Analord). My suggestions
would have been..

The House of Lords
Good Lords
Praise the Lords
Lord only knows
Lord Save Us
His Lordship
Lords & Ladies (The essential selection)
Analord: The Album
The Very Best of Analord
Analord: Greatest

And they've missed an opportunity to release DJ Vlari's
cassette Analord mix.

too bad "The Timelord/s" is in use.

but Tapelord/Ceedeelord/Vinylord would look cool too.

I believe nothing, and seeing as I buy very few CD's anyway,
I won't buy it when it comes out (if it ever does) unless
it's issued in a limited edition mini version of the
leatherette plastic binder, in which case I will buy at
least 2.

i so have the feeling that this release is gonna be utterly
useless.. just like the HAB CD version, no specials, just
the same music, pressed on vinyl.

seems like a joke or something..

"AFX himself has distilled the tunes into a cohesive album,
as it
was intended to be heard."

. Analord intended to be heard digitally?
. AFX himself, not RDJ?
. And who will the artist be, since it features both AFX and
Aphex Twin?
. Oh and that isnt the CD cover even if its true. The
typeface gives it away.
. And as if the BBC would investigate.
. No phonatacid, bwoon dub, or wheres your gf.

I'm not convinced just because it's on the BBC webshite
actually, it's not like they always get everything right all
the time. When I see it in an official capacity (i.e. the
Rephlex website), I might believe it.

I was going to say, even before it was confirmed by both
Phobia and then Rephlex themselves, but yeah... listening to
the 'Lords in that tracklisting, it does sound like a great
album, a cohesive selection of tracks.

But I too am confused by "AFX himself has distilled the
tunes into a cohesive album, as it was intended to be
heard."

So, was Analord originally conceived as an album? Is it the
first album in the history of pop to be released on 11 discs
all with bonus tracks?

. Analord intended to be heard digitally? loooool nobody
ever said it was to be only heard on vinyl, all tha bs was
fan speculation

. AFX himself, not RDJ? loool

. And who will the artist be, since it features both AFX
and
Aphex Twin? *dies from too much laughs*

. Oh and that isnt the CD cover even if its true. The
typeface gives it away. that was a joke you know...

. And as if the BBC would investigate. whyyyyy not?

let's look at it this way:
1.rephlex initialy said there will never be another format

2.people complained because they didn't had/wanted to buy a
turntable

3.rephlex decide to release a cd album analord

4.people complain because they don't have all their favs on
it

i mean c'mon, everybody as a chance to own good
quality/clean versions of both fenix funk and xmd5a now
and everybody gets a chance to listen to some of the best
tracks of the series!

supposed cd sellection
release, track
10, 01
05, 01
07, 02
04, 01
03, 03
03, 01
06, 01
05, 02
08, 01
10, 02

interesting that such a high percentage of first and second
tracks...

if this isthe real selection, maybe it makes sense, he put
his favorite tracks first, so then when he chooses for the
cd release a lot of them are those.

this happened about 1 year ago when it was released on

lol
you really are an idiot

NOBODY from rephlex crew ever said the point was to listen
to it on vinyl!!!

the point is that it was composed without computers and with
mostly analog gear nothing more

and besides vinyl better than cd is bollocks, it all depends
on how you record/cut it, period

on the subject of fenix funk and xmd5a, i own all the
records, they are lush as hell, but i didn't want to spend
the money on the GOOD quality analord 10, say what you want
but the pic disc is awfuly noisy.

peace

your 10pic disk is worse sounding then the others ?

the grooes in pic disks can wear out faster than
others/although ive never ahd any problems w/mine

i honestly think thats the fairest solution
to satisfie the people who bought all the vinils cause the
analords were supposedly only released on vynil and the
people who were claiming for an analord cd and who are not
receiving lots of "filling" tracks almost only usefull for
dj tasks. more or less...
i honestly think rephlex are nice people, thinking in music
and fans more than money.

yeah i don't think my pic disk sounds particularly awful,
but it's clearly a lot more noisy than any of the other
12's, who are very cleanly cut without much surface noise

exaph :: sorry i was in a bad mood and a bit frustrated from
all the talk about digital this digital that and the rumors,
etc... that just comes from nowhere (it probably was rdj's
intent to let people speculate to create a buzz around a
release with nearly no info about it anyway)

Now where's that CD release of Selected Drukqs Works. Its
not like Richard to not take the offer of some extra cash.
Heaps of really, really smart people would buy a cd of the
electronic stuff on drukqs. Rather than re-release a double
CD featuring all 30 tracks, AFX himself has distilled the
tunes into a cohesive album, as it was intended to be
heard.

so im an idiot for questioning that press release, on the
grounds that a set of 11 vinyls was originally intended to

if so then explain why you think it is called 'Chosen
