Disregarding the fact that I am Catholic, I never said WARP
was naive or stupid - I'm sure they figured out well ahead
of time that this could be done - the point is,
should it be done? The Mp3s (and the vinyl) will be
available for download in two weeks, why not just wait and
enjoy the samples until then?

I wouldn't be so quick to make that assumption - are you
still going to buy the Squarepusher MP3s now that you've
heard it?

Hey, he stated himself (rather arrogantly I might add) that
he had "more than enough" money to buy all the music he
wanted... no assumption on my part.

It wasn't directed at you anyways, so why does it matter to
you?

Well, that's good - so am I (if you're serious), but think
about how many people who, thanks to JAroen, will not buy
the Mp3s (and possibly not the single) now that they've
gotten to hear it? It's like my movie analogy in another
post in this thread - why would you pay to see a movie in
the theatre when you can see it at a friend's house on DVD?

I can't get MP3's at work :( They've restricted everything.
It's so annoying. Super fucking fast internet connection and
you can't utilise it. What a gip! I could understand them
blocking P2P and Bit Torrent but general MP3 downloads and
shit is just fucking annoying.

Could you possibly e-mail them to me tomorrow please mate?

Joyrex said the same thing to the temporary watmm people at

board.

Other than that I don't have anything to say. Go Lions.

bleep.com it usually says how there will be exclusive
downloads on bleep and it will also be available on vinyl
but cd isn't mentioned.

You can kiss JAroen later when warp decides to pull the
plonker on being able to listen to tracks because of this,
too.

You lot are a bunch of beautiful people... can't wait less

weeks to pontificate about it? You like Tom's music enough
to kiss him on
the willy and cuddle him?

Nobody ever stops and thinks IF they should lick something
rather than if they CAN lick something nowadays...

Do you really think they would pull it? They've clearly put
a lot of though into the site and this is something they
would've considered. I hope they don't as I like the long

Because I want Bleep to succeed - I imagine if this is
moderately successful for WARP, then a lot of material that
we otherwise wouldn't get to hear would come out, and as a
music fan, I really want that more than anything.

Yes, I am Catholic, but not a practicing one - but that's
another arguement altogether! :)

I think that Bleep is a flawed idea from the inception...
the problems that have presented themselves ALREADY (and
bear in mind that this is NOT an official launch) only goes
to prove this fact.

Warp either (a) get used to people pirating shit in this
manner or (b) change their approach

As far as I can see it these are the cold hard facts.

My stand point on this.

Before listening to that rip I wouldn't of bought it... now
I can't wait and everyone is hyped! No-one wants to keep
these rips as the proper copies and now everyone wants to
get a copy of the real one!

Jorex: normally people are real harsh to you for no-reason
so I forgive your abrupt manner regarding this situation but
why the fuck are they putting up the whole track on Bleep in
30 second samples?! Come on! Why didn't they have 4 samples
of different points in the track.

Fuck sake. Accusing us of stealing. Over stepped the mark
there mate. I might be many things but I am not a thief.

having too much music can "kill" the music, sort of...

apart from that this thread has become very redundant, and
of course both sides have arguments, always the same - it's
always this sempiternal pro-mp3 vs. anti-mp3 little war (and
i don't know what catholicism has to do with this?!), which
has been discussed a million times - this case isn't that
much different really...
