i could respond do them all, but don't really want to.

this one:

4. so bent on dismantling the fascist police that they
patrol their own "free zones" with automatic weapons
(authoritarian and militant bro)

what's wrong with this? people come to shoot up or beat up
these kind of encampments. police will look away as much as
possible. getting yourself hurt on purpose, by not defending
yourself, isn't more leftist or something

i don't know, i think it's quite easy to condemn israel's
actions without making references to zionism, or saying
israeli are the real nazis, or defacing holocaust memorials,
or making lists of insufficiently pro-palestinian jews, or
denying antisemitism, or denying a rise in antisemitic
violence, or complaining about "philosemitism", or
insistently calling netanyahu a "foreskinless hitler", or
engaging in oppression olympics, or deeming all israeli
citizens guilty of the state's action, and etc and etc.

You say it yourself, antisemitism is endemic to the west.
That includes the left. All the more reason to be careful.
You can say "stop the genocide in Gaza", you can talk about
Israeli war crimes without resorting to antisemitic tropes.

Surely even you in your florid neoconservative insanity can
see that equating "making references to zionism" with
"defacing holocaust memorials" is an underhanded ploy?

This is an important question since Zionism is the
legitimating myth behind Israeli war crimes, ethnic cleansing,
property theft, apartheid, etc.

Zionism is also, perhaps more importantly, the glove worn by
the fist of Western empire in the region. Even the Brian
Becker hatchet job you linked upthread recognizes this.

yeah, when i say down with israel i'm saying the whole
country needs to be done over, because it's founded on
zionism, which could only lead to apartheid and genocide

I don't support nationalism in any form, but what's so
special about zionism as opposed to any other kind of
nationalism? Is it that it manifested as a response to
oppression and statelessness? Would you also single out
black nationalism in the same way for instance?

"is this the world you want?"

If I have to speak for the entire world, the best world has
no humans in it at all. Certainly the world I want is not
united under a single world marxist government, I'd rather
personally be dead or would die to prevent it.

If I'm just speaking about the life or culture I want
though, well.... late 90s through about 2010 US was way, way
closer to it than what we have now. At least people made
cool shit.

You wokelings have never, and I mean *never* written
anything worthwhile. Not a script, not a piece of music, not
single good idea in the writers room. You completely suck
and I can't wait for your reign to end.

Dr. Who wasn't made for me, it turns out.

I was a libertarian, or held those beliefs on my own terms
before I ever knew what a libertarian was.

I used to hate the right. They were trying to censor Mortal
Kombat. It was THEIR fault television was so sanitized.

It's unfathomable to me that the far left is actually WORSE
in this regard, but it happened. The far left is more
fucking annoying than the far right. I really, really,
really, reallllly don't like what you're selling me.

You're sounding very self-centred but I doubt you're
actually this unempathetic in real life, right? You don't
actually think the problem with the world is that TV
is bad. Like sorry I'm not trying to scold you, I'd just
like to have a conversation beyond the rote, broad culture
war dismissals that don't refer to anything I've actually
said.

Awww, but Israel's atrocities are so little, and besides,
everyone's doing it!

That's right. The deciding factor is never the fact or scale
of atrocities. Countries have been invaded, balkanized,
bombed into the stone age, governments overthrown, for a
tiny fraction of Israel's well documented atrocities. The
deciding factor is whether recognizing the atrocities and
taking action is of strategic importance to empire.

That much of the world now recognizes Israel's atrocities is
a clear indication of the current weakness of empire -
militarily, economically, ideologically.

I have nothing mean to say big! Those are both solid amateur
outings. They both sound good.

non mean nitpicks?
big happy dog- sawtooth synth could use a bit of variety or
knob twiddling to give it variation. Even just the volume
slider. The sweet god-pads that come in around 1:30 are
drowned out by the saw. Nice sounds all around though.

stalag 17- I just want the drums brought out a bit more, but
not much else.

Now I'd ask. Who made this? Was it a fresh faced, young big
a few years ago? a young man clearly inspired by afx? maybe
someone who would have acknowledged that well, THESE tracks
arent political statements?

Or was it the post-modern big who adopted crt and says a
minority cant be racist unless it's internalized whiteness?
lol. This big tripled down on spending his time on things
like breadtube and changing his flag to whatever the current
progressive talking point is. Does THIS big MAKE anything
interesting? Or does he just churn and regurgitate in his
cocoon until he's reborn a moth of pure NPC?

It's a genuine question and not an attack.

Empathy is a weird thing.

I certainly possess it, for my friends, family, peripheral
acquaintances (even all of you here on XLT, i'd legit be
very sad if anything happened to any one of you). Even
freakin bugs, I do not like to see them suffer.

But they have to be somewhere in my vicinity. A slew of
people being killed half the world over, holding beliefs
that arent relevant to me, living in a system that I'm not
forced to be a part of? Well, let's put it this way. 100
people dying today in Israel or Gaza elicits about as much
empathy as 100 people dying May 16th, 1845 from the Potato
Famine in Ireland. Or May 16th, 1145 from the Crusades. Or
May 16th 2245 from world war 5. They're not here, and if I
tried to be empathetic to everything, my brain would short
circuit.

I don't want to (and cannot) solve the world's problems. I
want to preserve what *I* love.

I understand the ridicule for "muh television." Tony called
out the same for "muh videogames" when I pointed out China's
complete fucking horseshit censorship of them. Fuck China.
But I don't care. Good games, good art, good music, these
ARE worth more to me than human life. They're what lasts.
Without bravado or bluster, I would die myself to preserve
Twin Peaks, or Star Trek TNG, for the people who are like me
that might have also loved them. Like it or hate it, I'm
being honest.

I noticed that people often have empathy but not
compassion.
I’m chronically ill, it’s serious, but I have good days
sometimes. But I notice people have empathy but rarely
compassion. They wanna fix me, give me phone numbers, names.
Even ducking diets. I’d much rather some compassion than
this attitude that screams “oh if you re ill it’s your
fault or energy or chakra alignment…” I’d rather a hug
or a sincere smile and some sympathy.

or past lives or if you know this really great healer that
got rid of their verruca etc… well meaning but we’ll

ugh, i see this all the time, it's infuriating. i think the
kindest way to see it is that people don't know how to deal
with the reality of chronic illness, that sometimes a
problem doesn't have a solution, and this is the best way
they found to cope with it intellectually, maybe they have a
miraculous solution and you just haven't thought about it
yet.
in reality it feels so fucking dismissive lol. if you think
meditation or some charlatan can fix me that tells me you
don't think my problem is real.

TD this'd be like the third time you equated me with someone
who lives in a disgusting hovel! I mean, maybe "emotionally"
I'm dirty, since I don't accept your communist premise,
therefore bad I'm a person. But not really in any physical
space.

I can only swear on my mother's life that I'm probably a bit
above average at keeping things neat. I mean I can let
dishes build for 2 days or soemthing, but I will reach a
breaking point fairly quickly and do them. I do
laundry/bedsheets every week and shower probably every other
day. My cooking space is very sanitary. My toilet and shower
are clean (these latter two thx to wife).

And my wife is so fastidious with cleaning that she borders
on OCD. We run a clean ship!

Now I will admit THIS foul pepe IS me a bit. I'm a sloppy
packer and I do wait to the last minute, and I can be lazy
aboujt unpacking. That's the only one that rang true.

the title sounds good, but Dugin...

what this comment on /r/sino says:
He's a fascist and, therefore, a piece of shit. No matter
how much he admires China.

Nationalism is a disease that must be totally eradicated.

Humanity is one. Borders are a remnant of a classist
society.

We need a post-nationalist world. A postreligious world. A
world beyond the Western ideas of race, etc. that divide
us.

Anything that artificially divides humans is to be
rejected.

Particularly class, religion, nationality, and race.

The idiocy of admiring socialist societies while espousing
fascism cannot be overstated. These two ideas are totally
antithetical.

Socialism stands for internationalism, anti-religiousness,
global unity, social harmony, the liberation of the working
class, the exaltation of education and labour, constant
self-criticism and self-improvement, constant progress.

Especially the internationalism is a key aspect of
socialism.

Dugin rejects everything about socialism, he rejects
everything that made the Soviet Union and Communist China so
great. His idea of socialism is what Western fascist
propaganda claims socialism to be... yet instead of
rejecting the propaganda he says "Yeah, that's amazing!"

Who is he to admire China? Admire what? He hates everything
that made China great. What a confused guy.

i guess the interviewer agreed beforehand: i won't mention

it's great that it's not just Western hegemony anymore. but
this multipolar world, as he calls it, shouldn't be an end
goal. the end goal should be one earth, on people. no more
borders. i don't think Dugin wants that

this would just make him a nationalist. but he's also a
fascist, this interview doesn't show this. not directly. but
it's stuff like, in russia: lgbt+ repression. journalists
being killed. as well as opposition leaders. creepy youth

lol sorry, hit reply accidentally

the r/sino thread on this is v interesting

Dugin of course is a complete shit. Also very stupid. I've
tried reading his books and they're unreadably boring and
dumb.

Fully expecting China will be the dom and Russia the sub in
this relationship. CPC leadership is full of Marxist
scholars, to say that they're out of Dugin's league is a
massive understatement. If Dugin reads some theory and gets
a clue and recants his dumbass ideology that will be
hilarious.

More to the point though, globally today the main
contradiction is imperialism and class solidarity along
those lines is a far better predictor of common interest
than ideology. Wondering if the joint statement has been fully
translated yet.

The one world stuff is a little premature, since the
strongest current force for unity is the oppressive rules
based order. No one wants international unity under the iron
fist of empire. Well, some want it.

Under real circumstances, and not in the ideal world as we
would like it to be, there's going to have to be a period of
national liberation in the oppressed nations first.

The website is just YOU. It's your space to be an
individual. It's warm, it's cute in places, and it has good
vibes.

Your drawings, while maybe not high in "practiced artistry"
do have character-- they have little spirits in them. I see
this site as more of an old school scrapbook than a cohesive
work of art. I don't speak french so parts of it were
inaccessible to me personally, but I certainly get the jist.
I see what catches your eye in the photos that you post. I
translated some of the dreams and they were concise and told
me a little bit about you as a person. Oh, there might be a
political cartoon or two (capitalist car heading towards
some kind of wall), but not much.

This is the work of an individual person, raised in an
individualist society, effectively expressing their unique
individualism, and that's as political a statement I'll make
about your space. Most of this art is, I would say,
a-political. I imagine you slip into a happier place free
of most of that shit where you snag ideas out of the free,
creative ether that swims around us.

Now, if I said that I don't perceive the website as a
singular, cohesive work--- well that isn't true for the
music you linked.

Your Christmas Album (and I'm only assuming you made this),
IS cohesive, and SUPRISINGLY good. Surprising because I've
not seen any of your spam before, and I most certainly would
have clicked it. Your melodies are varied, interesting and
professional. Unique. Uplifting but sometimes you pitch all
your chords down into a weird state of decay, which is
pretty awesome. Videgamey, multicolored, and psychedelic in
places. I really genuinely dig it. Cool drums too on a few
of the tracks (ie Lut12NoL which reminds me a bit of the
music from Terraria). Mum and Mouse on Mars vibes here and
there. Joyeux noël is my favorite track.

Alright well that's about all I have to say. Thanks for
sharing.

Thank you I really appreciate it!

The website I don't think of it as a work in itself. It's
just my personal website. It's defiantly not about branding
or promotion or networking. It's my little space on the web
where I can put up things that I think are cute to share
without elaborating much on it. Just a little contribution,
a little piece of human culture.

I think people should have personal websites. I hate the
for-profit web because it all looks sad and cold and it has
awful incentives so it always becomes dominated by the worst
cultural parasites. I used to like Youtube when it was just
random people uploading birthday videos or whatever, etc.
Now it's sad.

So that's my dream. My political dream. I want people to do
things for their own sake instead of creating
content. I want people to be ends in themselves
instead of means to an end. Capital treats all of it, all of
us as fungible. I won't have that.

I want people to cooperate and achieve goals that benefit
everyone in the most rational and ethical manner. Work
together on real issues instead of compete and waste and
fudge numbers to extract the most abstract value out of
human labour. I think we can do so much better.

The capitalist car is actually just something I drew as a
way to make fun of some online person pretending they didn't
understand some other person's metaphor. I also pasted the
signature of a Charlie Hebdo artist in the corner, as a gag.
I think it was all an amusingly perplexing thing to do and
it is even more so out of context.

I'm not really interested in art that's unambiguous and
didactical. I like ambivalence and strangeness. I think my
ideology is reflected more in the process that in the things
I make themselves. I wouldn't make something gratuitously
meanspirited.

Anyway, thank you truly! I hope you appreciated this deep
dive into leftist art.
