Trying to print 'gold' as if its a colour is always dodgy.
The layout suggests its not a normal jewel case cover so
probably another damage prone cardboard thing

Analord 10 released on a "more regular format". there you
have it. THIS is what they were talking about.
picture disc is probably a less regular format if i were
having my say.

maybe cos its on a digipack case.
hangable auto bulb was a digipack.
26 mixes was a nice digipackish case.
analord was a fucken leather binder.
im guessing this wont be a normal cd case.

offline melack from barcielwave on 2006-01-30 07:03 [#01830138]

digipacks sucks :(

offline uzim on 2006-01-30 07:09 [#01830141]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

i don't get why people don't like digipaks... ' _'

they're nicer (in my opinion) and they're also less likely
to be scratched/damaged than jewel cases... the bad side is
that they often don't have booklets, but warp cds often
don't have booklets anyway.

i hope it will be with gold shiny lettering (and not matte
yellow-ish), and not too ugly. but that's lazy of them to
not make a different cover anyway.

i agree digipacks are more smart, beautifull...
but they also get dirty and broken easier.
in the other side, you can be less careful with a jewel
case, as its harder and stronger, and if it is
damaged/scratched you can always replace it for a new one.
plastic > paper

offline melack from barcielwave on 2006-01-30 07:22 [#01830145]
Points: 9099 Status: Regular

+ : the digipacks without plastic, where the cd touches
directly the paper, soil the cd.

I thought it would be cool if they did 3" cd version of the
vinyl in a little binder. That would've made me hug a CPU.

Points: 17716 Status: Lurker | Followup to melack: #01830144

you've got points there, digipaks can't be replaced and the
ones without plastic are stupid indeed.

i've never dirtied or broken one though.
(↑ if the grammar in this sentence is correct, i guess
i'm lucky.)

offline Exaph from United Kingdom on 2006-01-30 07:38 [#01830151]

its consistent, not lazy. i imagine the text/logo aint
centered because of the crop. i hope its digipack style too.
