EPISODE III WILL BE GREAT !!!!
EPISODE III WILL BE GREAT !!!!
EPISODE III WILL BE GREAT !!!!

I think we should use this topic now to discuss what we
think about Episode II, as not to spoil it for people who
haven't seen it!

I've just got back from the cinema and AOTC was simply
stunning!!

Youd think you would shy away from using that handle with
the poor quality of the second episode ;P

they're not going to make episodes 7-9.... and they seem to
be the best!

Episode II was way better than Episode I! There was nothing
at all wrong with the quality of EpII - the CG Yoda was
great!

The problem with Episodes 7-9 would be, that Harrison Ford,
Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill would most likely be way too
old to pull it off!

By that time the CG of Harrison Ford,
Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill prolly be good 2

And the fact that they can't act... and all have beer guts
the size of the USSR when it was still all there don't
really help the cause either.

It was good. It wasn't great. 6.5/10 - I think Lucas just
chucked in all the crowd pleasing shit out of desperation.

Did anyone else feel like shouting 'UNCLE FUCKING BULLY!!!'
whenever Jango was on screen?

Anakin talking about how he killed the Tusken Raiders, not
just the men, but the women and the children too!

That's a one way ticket to the Dark Side - you could see the
hatred in his eyes! Great stuff!

I thought he did quite well! I allways prefer it films such
as these, when a relatively 'unknown' actor is cast as a
main character.

Jake Lloyd on the other hand was awefull in Episode I in
comparison!

offline Jarworski from The Grove (United Kingdom) on 2002-05-16 23:58 [#00222972]
Points: 10836 Status: Lurker

Very mixed performance I thought. But yeah... Jake Lloyd was
abysmal. Did u notice that C3PO took Jar Jar's role - ie the
comedy bit? Hasty rewrite after the Episode 1 reviews me
thinks

Yes - C3PO allways amuses me with his wit! Like the bit
where he says 'This is a drag!' and when he was shooting
the 'Jedi' and saying something like 'Die Jedi...Die!!' that
was funny!

I didn't care much for Jar Jar . . and am glad he didn't
have much of a role in AOTC.

Just seen it and this is exactly what I thought. Not that
that is a bad thing. I wont say it was good or bad but I
really enjoyed it and thought it was much better than the
frist.

let's start a petition to have sw3 all cgi as yoda was
definately the best bit and the scenery . . .

and can someone write a proper script !!!

they could get decent voices and it'd work : )

just my opinion (fan of all my existing life and being fast
destroyed by this maniac G.Lucas who can't hand over to
someone who has an idea of how to actually make a starwars
movie) of course . . .

there never was episodes 7-9, as that was all a media
misunderstanding. there was only 4-6 and the 13 page outline
that was the backing story for those movies, which ecompased
what was 1-3. Return of the Jedi is the real end. anything
other than that is just stories by somebody else.

From theforce.net

"Hi, I thought you would like to hear about a charity
showing of AOTC in Norway last night.
While waiting outside the theater, we enjoyed watching the
hardcore fans all dressed up, several Jedis and Darth Mauls
having lightsaber-fights, one guy had made his own neat
Jango Fett suit! Then suddenly a huge explosion, and on top
of the entrance stood Darth Maul, staring evilly down at us.
Then the familiar SW music kicked in, and out marched a
horde of Stormtroopers, lining up for the grand entrance of
four Imperial Guards, and even the Emperor himself! The
crowd went absolutely wild :-).

Then we were allowed inside, and walked in between
Stormtroopers on guard. As we came inside, the corridors
were pitch dark, we heard only Vaders breathing, and
Stormtroopers were lined up along the walls. Truly cool and
scary!

While everybody (full house, approx. 1000 people) got
seated, the band from the Episode IV Mos Eisley bar (?)
played in front of the screen, with various aliens dancing
and singing for us. What a great idea! The Stormtroopers
came back, the Emperor and Darth Maul entered and sat down
right in front, the alarm went off, troopers ran out, sounds
of laserfights roared (wow, that was LOUD), in came a Jedi
Knight, Darth Maul ran out to face him, and suddenly Maul's
head came rolling onto the stage :-).

Oh, and then the movie started, and we went even wilder :-)
Plenty of cheering and clapping during the film, but I leave
it to others to comment on the film itself. Thanks to
everybody who made this evening something special! "

HAHA !! i would have liked to see that !!

Crazy norwegians !!

Padmé will die. If you remember from Return of the Jedi,
Luke asks Leia if she remembers her mother. (Because Anakin
and Padmé are Luke and Leia's parents)

I like the track entitled 'The Tusken Camp & The Homestead'
- you can picture the scene where Anakin flips, and hacks
the Tuskens with his lightsaber.

I read the book first, and then heard the soundtrack before
seeing the film, and just knew that'd be played at that
moment.

I also like the way the 'Imperial March' melody is mixed
into it as well . . . echos of what is to come! ;)

Yeah i loved the soundtrack tooo!!!!!

I loved it when there where these bongo drums in the scene
with Zam whezell and Jango talking on Coruscant.

A nice touch , it gave the movie that special 70's starwars
feel =)

and now the music gets a bit dark in Palpatines scenes
hehehe!!

I have not bought the soundtrack yet but im planning on
doing so maybe tomorow.

Here's a list of the deleted scenes from Episode II, they'll
probably be on the DVD: -

1) After the attempted assassination on Padme in the
opening, Padme and Palpatine address the senate.
2) Anakin meditates outisde Padme's door (you have seen this
as a Lucas Select photo)

3) Anakin's "I've heard this lesson before" shot and line

4) Jocasta Nu (the Jedi archivist) tells Obi-Wan of the 12
lost Jedi and about the "great" Count Dooku.

5) Yoda and Mace discuss the lost Jedi who abandon the Order
with Obi-Wan.

6) Mace converses with Obi-wan on the platform before and
after Obi-1 get's in his Starfighter. Obi-Wan tells Mace of
his aprehensions of Anakin taking Padme back to Naboo and he
feels a disturbance in Anakin's feelings. (you have seen
this shot in the SW Insider mag)

7) Extended "work shop" scene with Annie and Padme after he
killed the Tuskens. Anakin cries (which we saw) - but
continues on where he talks of his remorse for doing it and
Padme tells him that he is only human.

8) After Padme's capture on Geonosis, she pleads with Dooku
to free Obi-Wan.

9) Padme and Anakin are brought before the Trial of
Genoisians and sentenced to die in the Arena.

10) Dooku fights Yoda with TWO lightsabers.

11) Padme's family scenes.

Atleast not acourding to George Lucas.

12) The still naked C-3P0 and the scene of Padme putting on
his coverings. (Petersen)

13) I saw a promo pic at one point of Padme and Beru in the
kitchen on Tatooine. I seem to remember thinking that they
had a scene or two together. (taramidala)

14) Obi-Wan attacked by Mountain beast (Hankytonk)

15) After Anakin and Amidala are captured, Dooku meets with
them at the round table and tries to convince Amidala to
join the separatists. (DarthZod)

16) Boba Fett flying away from Kamino

17) Ki-Adi and Plo Koon mission to blow up the Trade
Federation Control Core. (Thodge)

18) Jar Jar's diplo-dialect scenes. Also the laughter after
he says, "Dellow Fellagates." (Hubzilla)

19) Anakin teasing Padme about having Jedi powers.(bleh19)

20) SP-4 Analysis Droid (Hook)

..... Found all this on theforce.net

There were stories written by Timothy Zahn, which are follow
on stories from after ROTJ, but they are not officially
Episodes 7, 8 and 9.

The Star Wars story, was essentially about a little 'sweet'
boy who grew up into a monster of a man, who was then
redeemed by his son. A story of good overpowering evil.
Return of the Jedi should be the last in my opinion.

I have said it before but Ian Mcdermind is a fucking great
actor !!!

He really is starting to sound like the old evil Emperor now
.
Very smooth transision(sp?) in the character.
He seems to be the only one who REALLY knows what he is
doing.
