Isn't it? It is "lush" in music form, I honestly believe.

That's why I put it in the "quotes". But as I said to the
man himself, I don't like the word "lush" seeing as I'm not
from Cornwall and it's no longer (sadly) 1994, but that
track... lush IS the word that describes it. Verdant then,
fullsome, bountious, bootylicious. An electronic cornucopia.

Muzik4Nozebleedz_The_Palace_Lido_version

crummy used car salesman says: "Now this track... This
track has some LUSH melodies right here! And the beats?
The beats are a bass drum cream dream!"

seriously, it's top-notch. i could only describe it in idm
terms and a funny voice. i'm sorry about that.

Sorry, can I just bump these two The Palace Lido versions,
sorry, SORRY, because I like them and I'd like to think
you'd like them.

Bloody Good

Chalmers - The Palace Lido version is the superior one of
the two of them! The sound is intense and throbbing! I love
the sound of it. Actually its some darn good stuff. Reminds
me why grinning ape rocks hard!

I was out jogging last night when I found a dirty looking
usb-drive, needless to say I plugged it in when I got home.
To my surprise it only contained one file, this file:

Grinning Ape - Tom McBomTisseflom Featuring Squarepusher ...

Wallpaper Dialogues is absolute quality. It reminds me of
"the good old days" when IDM was innovative and exciting
(which is strange because it's actually old fashioned and
familiar sounding track).

I shall be remixing it forthwith.

Holy Fur Burger! That's one awesome EPIC journey through
drum / drill / ambient / techno, that's outrageous!
.... shouldn't something that good be on a double 12" vinyl
released on some exlusive Belgian imprint, and not tossed
carelessly into this grimey (not the genre) hellhole of a
thread? I think you need a manager.

Haha, maybe I do. But it's actually just three unfinished
tracks mashed together in goldwave cause I was bored and too
lazy to look for the actual projectfiles so I could finish
them, so I decided to 'ape 'em up a bit :p

You should be able to tell that the last(third) part has a

Haha! Well, I'd never have noticed, it all flows really
well, it's very interesting. I think it's not a bad idea to
fuse things like that really, I might try that approach as
an experiment instead of working on the one track at a time.

hehe, well you wrote the main melody of my mix that's a bit
different from the original yourself. i wrote another melody
with that instrument though and goofing around made those
reverbed percussion thingies with another one of your
instruments, (i sent you the .flp after linking the track
here)

you may send me the .flp's of more of your tracks btw as i
learned alot mixing techniques from the stalag one, i didnt
know the technique of maximizing the beat with the melody
for instance (house 101 i guess), british homestores, beige
mainframe or all for instances, tnx

Dog_Belch: If you could mail me the .flp to Wallpaper
Dialogues, I'd me overjoyed. If, understandably, you cannot
bear to part with the secrets of this slab of techno
goodness, I'd be happy to try just cutting it to pieces and
re-editing.

Cheers.

Secrets! I wish I had secrets (or at least not shameful
ones), the only thing I dread is when someone looks at it
and goes... oh I thoght you'd used some special technique to
get that effect, but I see you just whacked the levels to
11.... riiiight. However, be bold, parts are in the post to
Mr CJC and indeed also to Mr BIG.

I was prowling around the simian Red Light District when I
came across a discarded MiniDisc with the words "GRINNING
APE GUFF" scribbled on its label. Amazed by what I heard, I
ripped the Disc's content, a sole track, to MP3 and uploaded
for your listening pleasure!

I am having difficulty opening the .flp, courtesy of my
ancient cracked and highly unstable 3.3 version of floops
that is currently on my laptop. I shall try to open it in my
more legit FL5 machine when I get a chance. In the meantime,
the other project we were discussing, should be ready in
time for halloween. Expect an email at some point over the
weekend...

Ceri JC: FL v 5.02 Producer Edition (because I'm a goddman
professional), maybe, hmmm, maybe there's a problem opening
things made in the new one in.. the old ... one. I can't see
a way of saving as FL 3, if such a thing exists, which I
don't think it does. Oh well, not to worry, hopefully it'll
be alright on your other machine.

Staz: So am I, I have no idea what that sentence meant, I
just copied it from your pal Imapkt. I hope it wasn't rude.
I dig greatly the atmospheric jazzcore of Gruff, easy on the
ear but fulfilling, and the shift in the final quarter of
the track makes an already great song superb. That's one to
keep, another winner from Mr Staz ladies and gents!

dog_belch: You're being very economical posting multiple
replies in one post.

dog_blech: Yes, I am, aren't I?

Well, it's a bit intimidating being asked by THE GRINNING

I'll see what I can do, though!

A lone hobo came up to me today and claimed he had "THE
MAGIC TAPE". He dropped it off in my hands, pissed himself
and proceeded to run into a moving bus. Poor fellow got
crushed on the spot, but I managed to secure the tape and
have now ripped it for the internet people. On the front of
the tape "GRINNING APE YOU OAF!" was scribbled with pink
marker. On the back it said "I LOVE YOUR BOCTOBER!!!".
Smells a bit like cherry liquor.
