seeing as I'm the journalist who coined the term "who?core",
basis for unendless debates on an undendless amount of
messageboards, I think I deserve one.

this is just one of the many paradoxes that make grinning

The more I think about the name what?core the more I
think it is the genre to end all genres.

All the tracks are short, that's the ethos Axion, old sport,
short tracks, to the point, and then *ka-puff* onto the next
thing. Unless they're ambient, then they can be two minutes
long.

thought about it just a little more.

I made a goddamned thread about them on here!

if i may be so bold, i have some questions for the Grinning
Ape:

1. What was it like working with Richard D James?

2. Now that what?core has rendered all other forms of music
obsolete, why do other artists still continue? I was quite
shocked and dismayed to learn that there are non-what?core
CD releases planned for the future and I can't believe they
still have a fanbase. It seems impossible.

3. Any plans on touring?

4. Is it true that you are dating Angelina Jolie?

5. What is it like to be solely responsible revolutionizing
music?

6. What was it like knowing Kurt Cobain?

thank you.

I do think "Love Missile F1-11" is one of the greater
records of the 20th century.

Thanks rF04, it's always great to hear from the fans and I
know it's tough on the frontline what with unemployment and
"shit" but thanks for contuing to buy my records. Here are
the answers to the questions you set:

What was it like working with Richard D James?
You mean Staz, I don't think he is actually RDJ, I
think he's Oslo's "The AFFECTS TWINs - a tribute to Come to
Daddy", but, you know, he's as good as the Twin, to my ears,
and a great deal cheaper.

Now that what?core has rendered all other forms of music
obsolete, why do other artists still continue? I was quite
shocked and dismayed to learn that there are non-what?core
CD releases planned for the future and I can't believe they
still have a fanbase. It seems impossible.

All music will continue, but like Hitler and his Deviant Art
exhibition, it only will serve as a testament to its
debauched degeneracy, and another word begining with D that
I'm searching that I can't remember. Oh decadence.

3. Any plans on touring?
I'd love to, wouldn't it be ace to hook up somehow to
everyone's house and play globally, at home, in our pants.
Perhaps on "The Internet"

4. Is it true that you are dating Angelina Jolie?
Here's an Absolutely TRUE story my mum told me two days ago.
Apparently their neighbour is an interior designer who has
just done up Brad and Jolie's new country house in England,
in Buckinghamshire I believe. Anyway APPARENTLY she's off to
Cambodia this week (possibly to harvest more orphans) and
she wants this bloke to go with her, to decorate ...some...
huts. The great bit of this is though that this guy told
this story to my dad... who has no idea who Angelina Jolie
is. Genius.

5. What is it like to be solely responsible revolutionizing
music ? - Pfff, arousing.

6. What was it like knowing Kurt Cobain?
You say "knowing" I'd say being told by DJ Gary Crowley to
go and see a secret Nirvana gig at the Bull & Gate and
instead being subjected to crusty vegetarian raggle taggle h

Aggghh...

6. What was it like knowing Kurt Cobain?
You say "knowing" I'd say being told by DJ Gary Crowly to go
and see a secret Nirvana gig at the Bull & Gate and instead
being subjected to crusty vegetarian raggle taggle homeless
indie also rans "Back to the planet"

qrter It is. Dame David Bowie thought so enough to
cover it for a b-side for "recent" single New Killer Star. I
bought all three or four singles and the first album, which
is really good. Check out "Atari Baby" if yo ucan find it
somewhere.

Have we had this conversation already? I'm turning into
Earthleakage but without the vast sums of royalties. I
agree, but, the thing is, the more perfect the band, the
more you only need one album. Who needs 5, 6, 7 Oasis
albums, who really wants more.... Radiohead? BOC? Daft Punk?
Music shouldn't be a career, it should be an expression of
here and now. Not fucking blathering on. DAMN THEM!

can I just say: who needs any Oasis albums?

they've always been extremely derivative and, this may be
shocking, but I'll say it anyway, quite shit.

an endless amount of laddish quotes in interviews won't save
you from being just plain, ordinary shit.

and stuff when he comitted suicide that artist does when
they do like Kurt Cobaine or Nick drake(fruit three) for
example.(not a really serious question)

I realise now that Phobia's plan to neuter the mighty
dog_belch was to make him a moderator, forcing him into an
invidious position and frankly handing over a loaded gun
with which to shoot myself. That's e-manslaughter, by any
other name.

If effects levels go up to ten, or even eleven, then to
use
them to their full potential. Because why else do they go
up
to ten (or eleven), it's such a waste to just add a touch
of
distortion.

grea, this is what IDP is about.
