Happy Endings -- 3/5
some stuff that really works, some that doesn't quite as well. good work from Tom Arnold, Lisa Kudrow, and Steve Coogan. definitely need more Maggie Gyllenhaal, though.

Ok, after watching Greed (9/10) and Queen Kelly (9/10) I must admit that E. v. Stroheim is as much "da man" as C.T.Dreyer. Only a different kind of "da man". He's a "big budget, no boudaries, lot's of cruelty and disdain for people, having problems with censorship" "da man" as opposed to "Bergman+Trier of the 20's" "da man".
Buffalo '66 - 8/10. Could have been 9/10 if not for the ending.

I really liked everything about that movie except the erratic camera work during the fight scenes. I can't see a punch clearly land. In the old 60s Batman, the fight scenes are lean, clean, and mean.
