The crisp and warm sounds remind me of the first tracks on
Geogaddi.

I like the video pretty much.

This single is better than "Davyan Cowboy", anyway. That's
great!

I enjoyed the Campfire H when it came out but it bores me a
bit, now. But Twoism isn't as good as MHTRTC.

BTW, I ordered the Deluxe package of "Freescha - Kids kill
the floor". That's great music also, if you like BoC.

Not bad, thanks for posting.

It seems to have some of that "dark psychedlic core" that
Wolfslice said was missing in TCH. I do feel like they
haven't totally found a way to recreate quite the
instruments/timbres they had in the old favorites (a few old
tunes); maybe they just need to go between tape deck and
their computers a few times. Or just hang out at the beach
at redpoint again.

hopefully nobody lent them an acoustic guitar this time. or
Clark borrowed it back in 00s and never gave it back.

"Anyone who got into BOC because they quite liked the mellow
vibes of 'Davyan Cowboy' is going to run screaming for the
hills after hearing 'Jacquard Causeway'."

sounds good

"It's pitched somewhere between Geogaddi and Music Has The
Right To Children."

now we're cooking!

I went from 'yay new boc' to 'awesome can't wait!!!'

tsk tsk with all TCH hate. I haven't listened to the new
track or read anything on the album yet, but to me it's a
given that they were going to stray away from their last
album. Hopefully it's not too much like Geogaddi, as that's
my least favorite from the brothers. Definitely some good
tracks, but tons of filler/forgettable moments.

"It's pitched somewhere between Geogaddi and Music Has The
Right To Children."

im sure that album is gonna be great,
but that sentence is no good news to me.
I was expecting something new, like TCH was, in a different
direction. MHTRTC or Geogaddi are excellent albums, but a
bit old and attached to a certain moment, more than 10 years
ago. Id like new sound ive never heard before...

Sounds good indeed. Reading that thing about 'Jacquard
Causeway' I had the audio for the "Tomorrow's Harvest
Transmission" video in mind. I wonder if that's the tune.

i heard the first few songs. seems decent enough; can't
really tell much. didn't hear any guitars.

offline melack from barcielwave on 2013-05-28 20:49 [#02457485]

i think it sounds like TCH without the guitars. they took
off the guitars because people here were all the time
complaining. thats what took them 8 years to finish the
album...

nah, at this point all the good music has been made, and
everyone's just left riffing off the classic releases.

The promo for this was intense but now everything is
revealed its really lost its buzz, warp just leave it and
get on with it. Listening parties, public plays, all seem a
bit lame now. I appreciate the need to limit leaks etc but
meh

Yah, it'd be pretty cool if stuff was just released with no
hype whatsoever, so then everyone would be like WHOA and buy
it cuz it wasn't leaked and everyone wanted to hear it.
Like in the record store dayz, yo.

i don't understand why people think you can "leak" something
after its official release... has "upload to the internets"
become synonymous with "leak" now??

Sorry i guess i understood wrong.

Also it's not about it being leaked, like you rightly point
out. It's about getting the music 'out there' in that world
where you can get things free.

well you said someone would buy it, which would mean it's
been officially released.

i just had to nitpick, cuz leaking an album, in terms of PR,
is a lot worse than it ending up on file sharing sites,
which is an inevitability.

As the album title indicates, it's tomorrow's harvest.
Meaning it's just seeds. Their next album, will be called
Harvest. Then after that the real comeback album will come,
called Thanksgiving Party. It'll be like BOC, but with more
donks. By that time BOC will be doing house, and Richard
Devine will be doing country ballads. Shoegaze scene will
become 2-step+opera, and IDM will still single-handedly be
covered by Mike Tyson.
