Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence - 2/5 , great visuals
but storywise a complete waste of time for me.

The Incredibles - 4/5

I contemplated giving it 4, but on reflection determined it
was too insubstantial for that. Interesting enough to watch
while it's on, but not something to really revisit.

To Be And To Have is the best documentary about kids. Ever.
The scene where one of the kids figures out that he can
count to *any* number is brilliant. You can almost see a
bulb light up above his head.

If you're referring to the remake, no it wasn't that
bad, but it was far from the excellent original, which is
5/5. The CGI messed it up quite a bit in the remake. The
sound of Kayako approaching still gives me the creeps
though.

dubbed version I got on DVD was..well..damn...

Follow up to "The Professional" my arse!!

for me cgi also ruined one of the best scenes in the ring
remake. That scene practically cost nothing to do in the
original... why make a realistic scene look unrealistic by
using cgi?

garden state 4,5/5

unfortunatelly it gets a bit too cheesy towards the end, but
it's still a real nice film + the soundtrack is beautiful!
oh, this is something for the fans of natalie portman :)

i thought it had it's moments but was a little too
pretentious/desperate at times. not a bad first film
though!

she so cool.

i don't like the number rating system, but my name is
dequalsrxt and i approve this movie.

yeah, i totally agree...it would only take a little to make
it perfect. but as you say a very fine debut!
it felt like something fresh, although it was all seen
before...maybe coz of the way it was filmed..and it had sad
and fun moments and that's always great. it started of
fantastic, but then when he gets all romantic with natalie
kinda spoils it..way too much saccharin :)

i got the feeling that Braff was trying to emulate Wes
Anderson who i think is untouchable. It would have been
cooler if Braff had a more unique voice. Still good though.
I'm interested to see what he does next!

twin sisters - 3/5

i went along not knowing a thing about it and it turned out
to be pretty good. in a nutshell it's the story of two twin
sisters who are seperated at a young age and who's lives are
affected by world war 2. The movie poster said it received
an academy award nomination for best foreign language film,
not like that really means anything but i suppose it gives
the movie some credit.

I know :) which is fair enough. I can definately understand
some westerners preffering it, especially considering the
original isn't exactly perfect, although I think it benifits
from no cgi ;)

However, the remake of A Tale of Two Sisters (brilliant Korean
horror) can't possibly be better than the original, the
original is perfect in almost every way and has a fairly
complex story, the hollywood version will be dumbed down so
much. It will be mildly amusing to see how bad this one
turns out.

Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless mind ____ 4,5/5

an absolutely brilliant movie... I really much liked it.
There is a big lesson to take out of it... it's very sad,
at some points you even feel like turning it off... But you
can't 'cause it's so good and entertaining.... Jim Carrey's
best performance if you ask me

It was nicely filmed, funny at times and Natalie Portman was
great. Other than that it wasn't anything special really.

Takashi Miikes latest. A huge stinking pile of shit. Avoid!
