The Incredibles - 4.5/5

I dont give it a 5 cos the ending was a bit lame

but seriously this is fantastic movie

Logan's Run - 3/5 by most people's standards, 4/5 by GoodBad
standards

Watched this for the first time as an adult. I saw it on TV
when I was a kid. Of course it wasn't anywhere near as good
as I remembered, except for Jenny Agutter's tits.

Still despite the weaknesses like the horrible overacting
and laughable special effects, it had an amazing 70s vibe.
Kind of like Planet of the Apes set in a roller disco.
Superb Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack with lots of analog
bleeping and blooping.

The DVD (double sided, widescreen or fullscreen) was only
9.99 Canadian, which is like free in any other currency.

House of Sand and Fog looks like a good film but it had
really bad reviews in the UK, but I like the look of it,
might check it out for myself soon.

About to watch Dr Strangelove for the first time...
'finally' got this on dvd, been meaning to get it for ages.

Solaris (Tarkovsky) - 9.5/10

On par with 2001 and much better than the re-make (which I
liked).

Suspiria (Dario Argento) - 9/10

The best horror film i've seen, awesome soundtrack by
Goblin. Argento is a brilliant director, its a shame his
recent films aren't very good when he's capable of Suspiria,
Tenebrae etc.

Secret Lives of Dentists - 2.5/5

Cambell Scott acts like he studied at the Kids in the Hall
school of Overly Serious Politician Behaviour. He even
kisses babies. Much as I like Hope Davis I really wanted him
to punch out her chicklets by the end of the movie. Hell, he
could have fixed them afterwards.

Ain't no man act like that, gonna put up with that, sheeit.
I would have believed it more if little green men came and
probed his funhole.
