inception: pretty alright, but i gather they centered the
mechanics of their dream technology around the plot, rather
than vice-versa. i had a hard time following what happened
to the asian guy the first time around. the second time
around, i just felt that scene was poorly explained and
shit. inception is sort of like dr. who: some good, clever
ideas executed on a deadline, turned in too early -- before
they've had time to mature and turn into something really
special.

really cool to look at and didn't leave me squinting and
getting a headache. Hated that it had to be so explicitly

Iron Man 3 - 3/10. An uninteresting, unemotional mess.
Samaria - 8/10. Actually pretty upsetting, which I wasn't
expecting.
Last Life In The Universe - 6/10. Great performances, not
much else.
Killer Joe - 7/10. Surprisingly creepy return to form for
Friedkin.
Survive Style 5+ - 6/10. Fun, batshit, but ultimately a bit
saccharine.
The Innkeepers - 4/10. Don't get the praise for this,
thought it was pretty generic.
Martha Marcy May Marlene - 9/10!! Thoughtful, clever, stayed
with me for days afterwards.
Shame - 8/10. Absolutely great, almost perfect.
The Cabin In The Woods - 7/10. Very cool premise although
not explored as much as I would have liked.
Argo - 6/10. Very well made but I just didn't get invested
in it, it's probably great.
Headhunters - 8/10. Witty, exciting and satisfying. Don't
watch the dubbed version.
Room 237 - 7/10. I love the subject which helped, your
mileage may vary.
The Hunger Games - 5/10. I fancy the bird but that didn't
save the movie for me which I thought was pretty tame and
dull, given the subject matter.
The Master - 10/10!!!! Completely blew me away, my first
10/10 in a few years.

too slow.

Psycho (1960) - 4/5
Psycho (1997?) - 3/5 - I tried syncing the subtitles from
the original and it was pretty accurate for the most part
but it kept going out of time.
