Oh god, it's terrible. Well not terrible, but a
disappointment. The stuff posted here, on this board, is of
equal or better quality...in fact this would be considered a
poorer track on one of the vibes. :(

Have you heard 'You're the one for me' by D-Train? this
track owes alot to that in my ultra macho opinion

It's some 80's pop/funk thing, my sister used to play it
when I was young... that's where the synth riff and tempo
are from

offline ecnadniarb on 2004-06-10 20:39 [#01234125]
Points: 24805 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

yeah, it's not bad after a few listens and the audio quality
isn't brilliant on the recording, but I was still expecting
something better and less poppy.

hahaha! the norwegian radio-dj introducing it is even on the
recording! hahaha!

is it just me or does he really mention aphex twin?

offline Drunken Mastah from OPPERKLASSESVIN!!! (Norway) on 2004-06-11 06:47 [#01234867]
Points: 35867 Status: Lurker | Followup to tolstoyed: #01234866 | Show recordbag

yes, he does.. he just pronounces the name in a COMPLETELY
crazy way.. people from that part of our country can't speak
anything but their own dialect... they're funny that way.

He says that the track resembles Windowlicker by "affhex"
twin.

WTFOMG

Checho? You've crossed the line now, pal.

This track is really average, not much to say about it,
except I can't wait to load up something else into ye olde
Winamp.

offline Drunken Mastah from OPPERKLASSESVIN!!! (Norway) on 2004-06-11 06:52 [#01234874]

what he says before the track is (It's in the middle of a
sentence, so I can't be sure of what he's referring to, but
I can guess):

eeeehhh.. and.. is stealing A LOT from lots of old-school
hip-hop, reminds me a LITTLE BIT of windowlicker by aphex
twin, and is released on a single way out in august, when
you can go and buy it. in the meantime it will be on radio,
and first of all, it will be here, in my program.

then the song plays, and in the end he says:

..eh.. and those who thought that prodigy didn't make music
no more can just go to bed. extremely cool song, Girls, and
I think we should celebrate prodigys comeback with everybody
[the recording stops]

i remember liam said he wanted to do hiphop, like five years
ago that was, so he finally did
i think this is an ace track

Drunken Mastah > hmm, i would pronounce "aphex twin" the
same way he did ' _ ' how would you pronounce it?

about the track... well, i don't know. it starts a bad way.
then it builds up to not bad. then it goes down to average.
then not bad again. well, i guess it's between bad and not
bad. kinda catchy, but far from rocking awesome.

i think i agree with ecnadniarb.

I'm digging it. I've wanted to hear liam go in a more
hip-hop vibe since the dirtchamber sessions, which was an
awesome classic hip-hop mix.

Again, I like it :)

hm...not bad, not good...just sort of prodigy-ish. never
really liked them that much...and if he considers that hip
hop, that's um interesting i guess. i'm definitely
visualizing glo-sticks here.

they're just so heavily produced, aren't they?

Keith Flint dances around and sometimes does shitty vocals
Maxim stands on stage looking "scary" and sometimes does
slightly decent rap over tracks.

Liam actually does the tracks

Keith prats about on stage, Maxim raps, Liam actually does
the music
