Discuss!

He obviously managed to piss Ecuador off.

I know I shouldn't be surprised that he looked like a
hermit, but he really looked like the old man of the sea
type archetype

If he’d submitted earlier during King Obama’s reign he
might have been pardoned. No chance of that under Emperor
Trump.

WELCOME TO THE TERRORDROME

My first thought on seeing him was "Has he converted in
anticipation of going to gaol/jail?
"

Ding dong the witch is dead! There's no place in our society
for election meddlers and far-right rapists. Enjoy your stay
in prison Julian! Don't drop the soap! LOL!

What happened to presumption of innocence ala Smollet?

What do you even mean? Smollett is innocent while Assange is
a rapist. He had sexual relations without providing to
adequate medical documentation of his status as
disease-free.

Assange hasn’t had a trial yet. So how can he be a
convicted rapist?

Presumption of innocence doesn't mean presumption of no
consequences

you make a sage point there umbro, he hasn't been convicted
of anything yet, and everything I know about him is filtered
through the mainstream media, sometimes it easy to get
addicted to the internet righteous indignation machine

Gonna be / is interesting paying close attention to the
coverage...
All the stories about the cat, the litter tray, his personal
hygeine, ..., Major news outlets leading with this type of
stuff, which is NOT the story by any stretch of the
imagination. Good litmus test.
Also interesting angle is how he is now going to be totally
and publically disowned by Americans who were dick riding
him not so long ago, showing them up to be the type that we
all know they are anyway.

I must say when I saw the news store about his rubbing shit
on the walls of the Ecuadorian embassy, I thought that
sounds like yellow journalism, CIA sort of thing to do to
alter public opinion, a shit smearing mad man

offline steve mcqueen from caerdydd (United Kingdom) on 2019-04-12 19:19 [#02574306]

Yep, exactly. It's all over twitter too - younger people who
were too young seven years ago, and can't be bothered to
google it just seeing this angle, which of course is goal of
the people putting the stories out.

.......I'm not saying anything about Assange or whether he's
guilty of anything, just sayin, watch the coverage, cos it
shows how public opinion is getting manipulated.

they want to get him extradited with minimal fuss, so
painting him as a lunatic serves their purposes quite well,
same with the rape allegations, I very well might be a
rapist but I always though they were sort of ideal charged
to bring against a dissident,

I don't think it's probably worth mentioning, but there is
also talk of a dead mans switch - there was an 85GB
encrypted torrent + others that wikileaks released ages ago,
but it may have been pre-released material that they put out
later anyway. Having said that, I bet he has dirt on people,
but it there's a chance it won't work if he has been
discredited as a nutter and no one is listening.

yeah I was thinking of that, could be a bluff, They are
probably going to water board him and god knows what now,
they really will break him

im not saying it a conspiratorial sense that this is
definitely true, its just idle speculation on my part but
you have to make your own determination on things, I cant
really see him throwing poo at the walls, it just seems like
something you would say to alter public opinion, but that's
just my opinion god knows whats true, just on the balance of
probabilities I doubt he would

>>> going to water board him and god knows what now, they
really will break him
I don't think he is going to get on very well in prison
anyway. Bet they'll stick him somewhere real nasty, despite
the stuff about his shakey mental health.

The shit on walls story sounds like it could have some
shakey foundation in fact, but frankly it doesn't matter
either way.

yeah what I really object to is the extrajudicial power
America affects over the rest of the world, how they can
rendition people without due process, its Orwellian and it
seems if anyone is a whistle-blower in the future they
wouldnt have much down for them

the media don't do a job at all, they need some sort of
legal expert on the 6 oclock news saying how highly
irregular it is, or some human rights lawyer but that will
never happen,

Think how this will be represented in future history books
(if there are any), vs. the stories that you are seeing ...
it's not his cat this is going to be the story, etc. but
that side of things is about 50% of the coverage, at
least... Absolutely bonkers. Anyway, i'm off out.. i think.

Yeah that photo of him with the beard will be the defining
one probably, I guess we will never know the truth of the
matter now, its become so complicated and distorted, as soon
as you become an enemy of the American state all bets are
off
