hellyeah, man,...i havent got around to designing any
dungeons quite yet,.....the program now allows .mp3
compatibility, so that helps a lot!......i've got "the color
of the fire" for the intro sequence with the Turks.....(the
game is based around NPCs from all different famous video
games,...and the 5-6 playable characters i made up you
see),......so it allows for some unique events to
happen......
;)
look for A LOT of square characters,....some
nintendo,....and YES!!............solid snake!!!

you'll be surprised how many different charsets and
resources you can find on the internet.

Okkk, so I finally got around to starting a quest in
FFX-2....and *sigh* I thought at first it wouldn't be too
cheesy, but damn I was wrong. Horrible pop influence AND a
complete Charlie's Angels rip off. Ahhh, I don't know if
I'm going to be able to continue on with this game....it's
just too damn annoying right now. Although, the title
screen music is good!!

Hm, the Street Fighter Anniversary collection comes out on
the 31st for the PS2, so I will be picking that up. Can't
wait to get back into playing some 3rd Strike. Need to
brush up on my mechanics so I can start competing around the
local arcades. Other than that....nothing new...just still
trying to get better at UT2004. I can already see an
improvement thxs to my new PC and Logitech mouse! :]

Monkey Ball 2 and Freedom Fighters. All under 20 bucks.
Freedom Fighters rocks! Best B list game I ever played.

Hehe, FF X-2 isn't for everyone. I loved it, thought it was
tons of fun. And the soundtrack is fantastic, especially the
tune when you're fighting LeBlanc and her cronies. The
gameplay is very simple, I don't think I changed from my
Warrior costumes even once. Just button mashed and level
gained my way to the end. But I don't play these games for
anything but the story and environment, anyway.

The game abrupty changes tones about 60% of the way through,
though... becomes less goofy, and more... generic. Fairly
serious and grim. It feels a lot more like an FF game the
nearer you get to the end.

my setup runs DOOM 3 just fine, and will no doubt run
Half-Life 2

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (running at 2GHz)
1GB DDR RAM
80GB 7200rpm drive (a faster drive would be better though)
nVidia GeForce 6800 GT 256MB Graphics Card

the graphics card was the most expensive in my setup,
costing me £350. but the whole thing came to £980

i've been alternating between gunvalkyrie, jet set radio
future, and otogi.

i'm on the last level in gv, which -- counting the bosses --
will probably give me sleepless nights; i'm trying to unlock
everything in jsrf; and i'm halfway through otogi, where
it's thankfully getting hard.

basically i'm loving my new xbox, but only for the sega
games.

currently playing

Doom 3
I only can play it when I set everything to low :(
but besides that: heavy to play(can´t play much longer than
an hour), creepy and scary noises, great surroundings

Vietcong
realistic game but not the best FPS I have played,
exellent multiplayer game tho

No One Lifes Forever 2
this game is less heavy to play but not that cool
good graphics
nice multiplayer game

It's great! The controls are a bit awkward, but the style
just screams Sega. And the soundtrack is among the best I've
ever heard (cheesy in a good way). The menu music, sometimes
I just leave that on for 10 minutes. The first level had a
rousing track, too.

I have a few tracks on Soulseek, ''Killing Bedroom'' is from
the second Valley level, I think. But I need more. Any idea
where I can get this? I'm not buying it, I'm broke.

Gunvalkyrie, Otogi, Jet Set... you can get them for like 5
bucks each, it's just silly. Classic Sega games go straight
to the bargain bin...

That was a reply to this Optimus' post about Gunvalkyrie.

I seriously would do anything for a 10 minute long MP3 of
the character/level/weapon selection screen music.

And also for an MP3 of that dark techno music from the Metal
Gear Solid 2 title screen. Anybody that knows where I can
get it gets instantly modded.

finally beat Metroid Prime!! = )
it wasn't so hard after all, just had not to stress and use
benzedium bombs often against the other metroids (i know it
isn't benzedium but they're the ones used against
benzedium)....

the ending is really deceiving though, especially after
having finished Silent Hill 2 two days before..... well, i
only got 68% (don't know why i got so low, i thought i
analyzed everything i saw ' _ ' must have missed a lot but i
don't know where...), i guess i suck, maybe the other
endings are better - does anyone have pics of the better
endings?

Haha, yeah. It blows. The scene where he throws a chopstick
into a crook's ear is gold, though. Ambitious game, but
ultimately a failure. I can't believe they're making a
sequel.

Optimal- thanks for the link, I'll take a look around. Video
game boards are the most violent and aggressive around,
they're always fun. Anytime a big AAA game is released,
blood flows. This one looks so busy... it's daunting.

Uzim- I'm thinking of starting a new Prime save to prepare
myself for Echoes. What did you think of the Phazon Mines?
That part stood out as the most difficult for me... there's
a LONG sequence where you have to fight through the mines
and about a hundred Space Pirates to reach a save point, I
had almost zero health left when I made it. That part stood
out like a sore thumb beacuse I think the rest of the game
is far too easy, though... still awesome.

Silent Hill 4 comes out today. The soundtrack blows my mind
(download ''Pulsating Ambience'' if you've never heard it,
amazing track). This is the 2004 game I wanted more than any
other. Today is the day.

talking about the ambiance, the Phazon Mines were ok but my
least favourite along with the Magmoor Caverns... about the
gameplay, i remember having several game overs there, i
didn't like having to go there until i completed the "loop"
and got a little better : )

the difficulty of the game was good for me, since i'm not
very good it was challenging enough. (and it was long
enough, which is a rare thing nowadays..! i don't know how
long it took you but it took me 19 hours) i think i'll try
to find some stuff i missed, there must be some more life
capsules and missile recharges i haven't found yet (and lots
of stuff to analyze but you can't find everything back if
you missed it...)

Silent Hill 4 is only out on september 29th where i live, if
i remember ' _ '
i'll have it for my birthday; i bought (and finished) Silent
Hill 2 to keep me waiting a few days ago....

Ok, well at the moment I've been playing the following:

FFX-2 (As annoying as the game can be, I'm sticking with it,
so far I'm in Chapter 2 en route to getting 100%
completion.)

Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike (I got the SF Anniversary
Collection and have been practicing with Ryu for arcade
competition.)

UT2K4 - (Mostly been playing the MOD "Frag-Ops" which is
esentially CounterStrike just with a few differences and
using the Unreal Engine.)

Last week from Fry's I bought:

Star Ocean 3
Phantom Brave
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection

And tomorrow I'm going to get:

Silent Hill 4

I have yet to beat Silent Hill 3, (the last thing I did was
hop on the subway after beating the spider...haven't played
for almost a month though.) so I have to make sure I
complete this game before picking up SH4.

100% in FFX-2, and you don't even like it that much? That's
dedication! I liked it alot, but not enough to deviate from
the main path... I beat it with not even 50% (and I don't
think I EVER took off the ''warrior'' costume or whatever it
was, I literally just bludgeoned my way to the end). At the
time, I had way too many games waiting to be played.
Someday, I might go back and mop up some.

final fantasy 8.
i gotta say it, this is the best game in the series. i

replaying through it now, its really grown on me alot.
better overall feel than 7, which was my favorite game of

Yeah, it's definitely my favorite Final Fantasy ever
(although the gameplay is insipid... the only way to beat
the last boss in an acceptable time frame is
limitbreaklimitbreaklimitbreak using Fury or whatever it
is). The soundtrack is eclectic as hell, the worlds are
colorful and vivid, the women are beautiful... even the love
story is convincing. I even enjoyed ''Eyes on Me'', great
vocal hook. Squall is a great character, seems like he's
going to be a miser like Cloud, and then... he isn't after
all. The characters develop better than any FF before it,
they're all useful. Great game.

X-2 is good, but it isn't for everyone. It helps if you're
really affeminate.

I looked for Silent Hill 4 today, not in yet, anywhere in
the city... fucking bogus, man, fucking BOGUS. But I did
pick up Breakdown and Rainbow Six 3- Black Arrow.

Anyone play Breakdown? Looks interesting, a quirky Japanese
'''first person adventure''... it was marked down like
crazy, and I'm not expecting a great game, but I'm up for
something different. If is wasn't for a 4 DAY CSI marathon
on Spike TV, I'd be playing it right now.

OK, no I wouldn't. I'd be playing Black Arrow.

back towards that more sci fi look. the whole college

the battles are pretty bad though, but i've never been a
huge fan of final fantasy battle systems. X probably has the
best, but its my least favorite game in the series after 9.
