I still want to get quite a few N64 games myself:

Ocarina of Time
Mario 64
Majoras mask
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Blast Corps

Was the one for Super Nintendo good? The only thing I
remember about it was that the 8 polygon graphics were
cutting edge at the time.

Well, 110 hours, 45 minutes and 13 seconds left. I don't
know about anyone else but I'm starting to get wet down
there. They've got the game up and running at Electronics
Boutique but I don't want to ruin the suspense...
eeeee!!

can handle myself too.

damn you lucky bastards :-p So close to the
windwaker-release! Europe still has to wait for it - as
usual.

Last friday metroid prime was released over here.

But lately my tv has been acting strange :-(
The left side of the screen tends to become really blurry.
It seems to be getting worse over time. I can't believe this
is happening to me! I finally bought a gamecube some two
weeks ago, and now my tv is giving up on me... aaaaaaargrh!

I think i'd better get a new tv first before i buy anymore
games... i wouldn't want it to totally stop working the day
after i bought metroid prime or something like that :-/

Argh! I completely forgot about that.. I'm not going to
have enough money to pick it up the day of release - I
traded my old GBA in to help finance Wind Waker. Damnit,
there are interconnectivity features too aren't there?
Must...mooch...more...money...off of
mother...employment...not...an...option.

i bought Metroid Prime friday but i have no gamecube to play
it. I ordered a gamecube from pc world tuesday and it still
hasn't came, how f**king annoying is that!?

definately gonna get windwalker when its out here, it comes
with the N64 game too which i haven't played yet... so 2
games for the price of one, not bad eh?

I've got it already. Have you ever played the SNES one?
It's essentially the same thing with the addition of
Capcom's 'Four Swords' game that allows you to play
multiplayer through several custom-tailored dungeons with
1-3 other Links. Can't comment as I haven't played yet
myself - I've heard it's lots of fun though.

i haven't played the snes one, the four swords should be
good fun.

what do everyone think of the graphics for the Zelda
windwalker game, i like them but i've heard some dont like
the cell shading.

offline child810 from boston (United States) on 2003-03-23 15:55 [#00612192]
Points: 2103 Status: Lurker

It's great the cellshading reflects the feeling of the
series very well.

I'm starting to wonder if nintendo knows how to make a bad
game.

They couldn't if they wanted to. I think the application of
the cel-shading technique to Wind Waker worked out
beautifully and was a brilliant decision on Nintendo's
part.. It makes the immersion of the player so much more
complete.

I agree Cabbog.

It seems a lot of people have forgotten that videogames are
to be games, people seem to want realism in their games and
I want the opposite.

That is why I love nintendo they make GAMES ....that are
fun....and artistic.....and beautiful.

Couldn't agree more. The Mario series, the Starfox series,
the Metroid series, the Donkey Kong series, the Zelda
series, the Pikmin series, etc... Nintendo's games have
taste, style, and childish charm - A combination that is
rarely found anywhere else with as much polish and attention
to detail. They're timeless really... I enjoyed playing
them when I was 6 and I enjoy playing them now. :*)

i envy you :-)

I read the gamespot-review yesterday, and that said it was
one of the easiest zelda games so far :-o

But then again, miyamoto himself said in an interview that
it would be more challenging than ocarina of time... who to
believe?

I hope it's a tough one though :-D Zelda games are supposed
to keep you occupied for weeks and weeks!

9.6/10 on igncube if that means anything to anyone but it
got a 40/40 in famitsu so id say its gonna be damn good.

Yeah, tomorrow is the official release date. Gamespot gave
it a 9.3. I don't care how hard the dungeons are, as long
as there's nothing like the water temple from the Ocarina of
Time. I'm STILL stuck in there.. Has anyone here
successfully made it through with their wits intact? If I
ever meet Shigeru Miyamoto in person I'm going to sucker
punch him in the spleen. No one should be made to endure
that.

Sigh... I can't afford it right now, I'll probably be
waiting a while.

And I NEVER figured out the Water Temple, I just ran around
for a couple of days hitting random switches and eventually
I got somewhere. That one dungeon alone discouraged me from
replaying the fucking game. I only beat it once.

Just walk into your local game shop and throw a couple of 12
sided die across the room.. That ought to give you ample
time to swipe a copy from behind the counter. If that
doesn't work you could always pummel one of the younger
prepaid customers into submition as he makes his way back
out to his bicycle.
I know it's not below you.

i think a 20 sided die would work best

especially if the numbers are in elvish or something

What? What's wrong? How'd you get it early? Wind Waker is
going to take top priority over everything else. I'm going
to pull the Metroid bed pan out of retirement, my dog is
going to run away, and my harem is going to have to learn
how to masturbate. And unless mowing the lawn involves me
being reimbursed with rupees and hearts my mom can eat a fat
dick too.
scrAAAHH!

Just like the old zelda-cartridges? :-)

The first time i pulled the original legend of zelda (nes)

i was about to experience some truly special.

wow.
i just finished playing this for four straight hours and all
i can say is wow.
amazing in every aspect. the animation is an art form in and
of itself. its amazing how expressive a block of blue with
gently rising and falling white lines can be in motion. this
is a true next generation game.
