trewq, it's track 11 "the modern bass guitar"
you probably have a false copy?

i though the modern bass guitar was a different track played
on the warp site it was really spaced out cool lush track
sort of weird like house music, loungy do you know where im
talkin about? it was far better then this squarepusher track
and it was at around the same time

your memory is failing you. it's the exact same track as the
one i heard on the warp site. sounds like anstromm-feck 4.

How can anyone say Ultravisitor is better than this?
Ultravisitor is unlistenable as an album with all the
grating songs and crowd noise, I spent half the time
scanning around for the actual songs. I don't consider that
the mark of a great album. This one you can actually listen
to all the way through. Can't stop listening to these songs.

anyone who doesn't like this has probably heard too much
electronic music and should retire, because they'll never be
impressed by anything ever again. In fact, you are now a
snob and only appreciate something if it doesn't sound
remotely like z, which was inspired by y doncha know, but
they were a bit like x, so they're shit really because w did
it ages ago and there's nothing inspired to hear in it,
because "v makes it all sound shit. v rules the best,
because v did it better than than and v is me".. blah blah
blah.

Oh, this album's quite good. Just getting into it now- the
longer tracks are sweet and the bass is sweet also.

"plotinus" is one of the most beautiful tracks i ever heard
from the pusher. somehow like a perfect blend of
"tetra-sync", "do you know squarepusher" and a very pathetic
movie soundtrack, can't really describe it. it's just
amazing.

haha, my bro is convinced its fake.
in past two days, so many convosations around us bickering
over whether or not its fake. i just cant understand it tho.

sure the drums are a step down, and few of the tracks arent
absolutely amazing, but the melodies and sound. ah, this
kinda convosation gets me worked up and i'll end
now...........

you mean that strong synth sound in the second half of the
song? if yes, then i'd say that's pretty much the only
detail that makes the track sound interesting.

"the meoldies are incredible"

hopefully he'll use them in his next 20 albums so they're
all amazing too.

the only thing that bothers me is that the drums are so
unambitious... i mean it's absoluteley okay that they are
more in the background and so on but on some tracks it
sounds as if he just picked a loop from some 08/15-drumnbass
sampling cd to accompany the tracks. would have been a lot
better to hear those tracks with drums that measure up to
the beautiful synth melodies...
Remember "Do You Know Squarepusher?" (the song) and "My Red
Hot Car", where he combined catchy melodies with really
fucked-up drums... especially dyksp always gives me a total
mindfuck when i listen to it.
but nevertheless it's the right thing now for him to do this
easy, accessible stuff after the challenging "Ultravisitor"
(that I liked a lot!).

Did you get the latest warpnews?

"Leading up to this date a series of 3 tracks will be
released as digital singles through Bleep and other major
download stores. Only one of these tracks will appear on the
album.

The series begins with the album pre-release track
‘Welcome To Europe’ on 4th September. Stunningly direct,
melodic and uplifting, every time we hear it we can’t stop
grinning from ear to ear! Track two will follow two weeks
later (18th Sep) with the final track a further fortnight on
(2nd Oct)."

So two more unreleased songs :D

that's exactly what im thinking..those drum patterns are
just completly dull and destroy the nice stuff that goes on

the bass noise at 4.55. sounds like strummed bass.
the tracks that make me like/love this album are the crazy
big sounding songs. the drums are a bit of a letdown, but
its only on Hello Meow that i'd say they let the music
down... if anything.

and of course, two unreleased songs is always a good thing :
)

that's the sound i meant, yeah. it's interesting and fits in
nicely. but then you have those drums going on in the
background..just totally unimaginative..everyone can do
patterns like that and put them over nice melodies nothing
interesting about that :(
