i love you and your star wars hairpiece avatar

the board has taken a sad turn the past 4-5 years, if you
not in the kool krowd your ignored :(

i personaly am here for the music, not to be bashed by qrter
or to read any retarded statement by swears, just to mention
a few

also BOGALA: in the old days we had to wait til a cd came
out to hear it, or promos were a few weeks before, jsut wait
its not that hard :)

love,
tom

the beats are the only thing that makes me doubt the
validity of the tracks

I think I lost the star wars avatar. It was really good
wasn't it? So proud of that. We are both in our 30s now. We
used to sweat that new aphex release and look at the aphex
symbol spin around on that turn table at the store and get
so excitied. Times have really changed.

That was al pacinos hair. I think he has had work done
recently though. Maybe wearing a piece himself.

end of an era :(
kids dont buy, they just steal files now
artists/record companies dont do as many promos, they dont
need to they have the internet and whatever promos are sent
out often get put up on ebay, for some retard to pay $50.00
for a single or double track cd.

Just live life and make the best out of it :)

favorite track changed from Plotinus to Rotate Electrolyte
imo.

i really really dig Orion Orange. He should do more stuff
like that.

This is a serious query, not poking fun. Are you impressed
by anything? You write off nearly everything!?

Dissapointing beats, dissapointing overall. Bland, generic
stuff, with sporadic melodic goodness. have I mentioned
dissapointment? Dissapointing.

there are several good instant' good tracks here, but also
some blasts from pasts, which just make it sound not new,
you know.. but i have to agree with all those saying it's
better then ultravisitor. but on the other hand this album
is more accesible and needs less to get into..

yeye. i think it's better to give it some more time before i
make up my mind.

Either []Pusher has lost his fucking mind... or this is fake
material... the only track that i concider half ok is Rotate
electrolyte and thats before the melodies came in..., even
then it just sounds like someone trying to rip off venus 17
with an electribe... seriously, comare this album to go
plastic, fuck it any pusher album, there is no pusher
maddness...

oh and notice how 'the modern bass guitar' the track hosted
on warp... has the pusher maddness i was ranting about in my
previous post....

I think it's a really good album. Welcome to Europe, The
Modern Bass Guitar and Planetarium are the stand out tracks
for me. I love them. The rest of the album isn't anyway near
as good but it's still great.

the synth, especially at the end of the track...

fucking love this record

i tought chris clark new track ted from his new album was
from squarepusher when i heard it on the warpsite i was
really excited yeah this is totally new
squarepusher never did this kinda stuff but so it appears
the be a really shit album with weak stuff

vacuum garden is like a ripoff of some hafler trio work from
the 1980s

the long drawn out ending of rotate electrolyte (the synth)
really reminds me of astrobotnia

as does track 7 from Venus No. 17

Why does he say "that's quite a leap.", what secrets
does he know?

This is, surely, unprecedented in music that, three four
albums on the trot now, let's see, Untilted, Analord (an
album on 11 12"s), The Campfire Headphase, and now
Squarebollocks, and the "fans" get all in a tizzy over fakes
... is it the fan's fault, or the musicians? Are these acts
really so bland that someone can "fake" them so easily?

it's because somebody actually did fake untilted, and then
everyone who thought it was the real album got a healthy
dose of embarrassment when it was released.... now to
protect our prides we assume everything is fake.

offline elusive from detroit (United States) on 2006-08-24 11:56 [#01959206]

it all started with Untilted fakes
we didn't have this problem before (or i never noticed it)

now it's like people are more afraid of liking music that
might not be [insert artist], or that they might be wrong if
it really is a leak
oh jeez just listen to it

if it sounds good ok if not delete it/dont buy it if it is
reazl

EYE YAM 4 REEELZZZZ

I haven't heard it at all, so I am sitting on the fence, but
I'm more convinced by that guy saying it's rubbish on WATMM
than people saying it is squarepusher, just the drums sound
rubbish. That's not... right, surely.

I think Staz did it.

track that was on warp at higher quality (actually sounds
higher quality, not transcoded)

It'd be good if you could get a job, say with Warp, doing
reasonably passable fakes, so that's what gets downloaded
and floods the p2ps (rather than any obvious fake or just
relabelling some other act), and then people, possibly,
might be more likely to go "Oh fuck, I'll just buy the
thing, stop wasting my time".

D'youknowwhatImean?

The thing with "LCC" is just the begining sounds so.. weird,
that it puts you off, if it was going to be fake, it would
sound that bad. It's hard to think hearing the rest of the
track it could be anyone else, but once you've read a couple
of cx's 10,000 word essays on why his friend / right side of
his brain think's it's fake you lose perspective.

If this is fake then I stand by my statement that it's good.
I'm enjoying it a lot. It could be the latest release from
Andy "What the Beat" K for all I care. It's good music.

Well i quite like the album and im normally happy for people
to stick to the style they are best with, but I just found
it a bit too straightforward, nothing really jumps out about
it... a couple of really boring tunes, a couple of rather
nice ones... both drum programming and melody are nicely
done but unimaginative. not bad anyway, I'll probably buy
it.
