Listening to Plotinus,... not convinced. It's very good
whatever it is, but I couldn't swear on pain of death that
was 'Pusher. OH MY GOD the paranoia.

he says "i'm not completely disgregaring the possibility
that these are the correct track titles but if the track
ever appears on bleep and sounds like this I will donate my
heart liver and kidneys to watmm through paypal

he's gonna look so stupid.

I'm putting my balls on the table after hearing "Welcome to
Europe".

100% fake.

There you go.

"Hello Everything" sounds fucking awful - I can't
understand why people believe this as a good release.
Either your ears are fucked or you worship Tom as if
everything he does is the dog's bollocks.

It's horrible mushy, syrupy, new-agey wank that is just as
bad as listening to Kenny G jamming with Mark King from
Level fucking 42.

Squarepusher R.I.P.

I hope “The Curse of Warp” doesn’t affect Jamie
Lidell’s new record and make it sound like fucking
Jamiroquai.

what can I say. it sounds like a tommy jenks album, some
daft tracks and some worthy of repeated play.

and what the fuck is so wrong with kenny g? I mean c'mon,
those curls....humminahummina

Something about the amen break on Hello Meow sounds a lot
like how my break rearranging used to sound before I worked
out how to do it better. In fact a lot of it sounds like
slightly dodgy Reason work, and a lot of really lifeless
breaks

besides balls on the table is poor manners.

I honestly don't think it's real at all, though I am
prepared to be wrong.

I will however wipe the table with an antiseptic solution
and put the boys back in the barracks.

That was OT,

First listen:
Sounds very good, though not his best album.
I love his bass riffs.
The Modern Bass player could have been released on Budakhan
Mindphone. Funky

BMindphone, you are indeed gayer than me.

seems more radical and new..

..or, well, ok, maybe he's getting old and into "easy

>>>"anyone who doesn't like this has probably heard too
much
electronic music and should retire, because they'll never
be
impressed by anything ever again. "<<<

i love it when the "YOU HAVE TO LIKE THIS" gestapo lurk,
they're a fun reminder of why the realm of idm is reknown to
be one of the wankiest teensy little sub-genres of music to
get into.

this album will work for people who like nice music from
nice people. i just happen to have these unreasonably high
expectations left over from the mid-late 90s when the name
squarepusher meant something, namely shitkickingly manic
adventurous expeditions into a twisted mind working hte
303+bass niche into future funk at high speeds.

you know, when there was an ostentacious edge and
badassedness about it, coming out of every measure/pattern
with even more energy/increasingly complex/evolving layers
of drum patterns leading the mind into a groove where the
melodics/harmonics technically rode in the back seat, but
accompanied the fervor rather nicely. when the tracks
growled at you and seemed to bend to the will of the crazed
man fucking with them at will.

the drums here are a prop up job for the synthwork, which
attempts to be epic and emotive ans grandiose and touching
and hey for some people with extensive ambient music
collections and living rooms with paintings and color
coordinated rooms and rectangular glasses that accentuate
the eyes, hey it'll work.

but for the smelly fat adhd kids drunk off of pabst blue
ribbons, it's going to not stimulate in a fashion that
induces headnodding and weird composer like spasms
accompanying the percussion-driven-madness.

i think the people who are disappointed just envisioned more
from a d00d who seemed primed to take over the world back in
1997, thats all

well i actually agree with him on some points. it COULD be
fake. there are other good musicans out there with the
potential of faking the []pushy. and the overall style is
much nicer and accsessible then the earlier stuff. almost to
nice.. on the other hand, a lot of the bass stuff sounds
very sp unique.
i think this is the new idm2 that will rule the scene
(and also the charts) in the years to come. fucked up
beats
are now history! idm is going sane.

noone believed a fake untilted album to be real, did they?
but there was alot of discussion whether the real album that

what bit-rate are the leaked mp3s everyones listening to?
like, 128kbps?

would the people who downloaded the leaks have bought the
music in the first place?

i remember when gantz graf was released the mp3s were like
96kbps encoded, ppl were like, 'man, this cd's gonna suck'

tons of people thought it was fake, yeah. course half of
everyone was listening to the fake that 'flourescent blue'
had put out,and half were listening to the real CD though it
was encoded for shit (128kbps?)

i guess this type of thread is just a natural occurence

it's vbr.
and if i have to choose between 'fake' and 'real' i will say
real. if it's not, it's still very cool, and the persons has
put a lot of effort into it. i would say it's harder to fake
sp then the analords.. no offence to neither the james or
the staz.
