anti-depressants

i'd like something that does not tinker with my serotonine

but just the dreams prozac causes could be a cause to
suicide

It's true that after a long period of chronic xtc abuse, you
become depressed, paranoid etc. It's because E lowers the
body's dopamine production. this is only temporarly, but not
after a chronic period. You might also feel a little down
the next morning, a joint might help.

when I was on prozac I was a total loon, I was verry
aggressive and even more miserable. As soon as I was on a
different anti-depressent I changed almost instantly, so imo
prozac is not a good way to start.

Maybe prozac can help some people, but I don;t think that it
should be the first option, or handed out so freely

prozac-quitting report:

i have cried more in three day thani have in three months.

the dreams have been as bad as ever.

the paranoia and the obsessive-compulsiviness are starting
to loosen

i have been a bit manic, which is a good thing, now the
house is very clean.

i am feeling more in touch with me and the world

supervising this?

oh yes. the darkness, the emptying countryside, the
overfilled cities which are too busy to be liveable, hte
summer that is so annoyingly light i can't sleep, the fact
that finnish genes are really freaky since we a re such a
small and isolated population, the alcoholism (it is really
a major problem here), the worst drugs in the whole world
etc etc

just some reasons to be depressed

Here comes the sun, do do do do
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Little darling
It's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, do do do do
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
I seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, do do do do
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling
I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, do do do do
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Here comes the sun, do do do do
Here comes the sun
It's all right
It's all right

I also have a lot of friends who are/have been depressed/on
medication. My female friend stopped using zoloft recently
and sometimes she breaks down and cries and hates herself
and feel the urge to punish herself. But she's strong and
though she doesn't realize it herself, she is better off
with no medication today than she was a year ago when she
took them. It's better to have real feelings.

i agree. i try to see my emotionality as a richness nowadays
- not something i need to shove under the carpet to be
accepted in the society. it is easier just being oneself,
even if it seems like a big dark hole.

even interested :)

as some of you may have notice i haven't been very well
lately. i don't know why actually..

anyways i got a new diagnosis which is not depression at all
but anxiety and psychotic symptoms.

so i eat 30mg aurorix (MAO-inhibitor) and 30mg oxazepam
daily now, and am going to start therapy. this time i'm sure
i can beat all this :) wish me luck.

ive been raised to stay away from prescription drugs.
relatives have had problems with them. so although ive had
all manner of attention disorders and depression problems,
im proud to say that ive beaten them all by myself :)

today i have a very healthy mind. even though i might not
act like i do ;) thats just my personality.

that is what i though i would do myself as well.. but it
went to the extent of cutting myself and you know that kinda
alarmed me that i can't just cope by myself. does it mean
i'm weak? maybe but i'll just have to accept it. believe me
i hate doctors and medications.

you've probably seen morons try to take 100 in one night or

But let's not get into this again.
And yeah they give them to ADD/ADHD kids.

fun, i have no appetite at all, sleep way too much, and am
constantly happy... it can be really good if you get on th
right ones, i'm like 66576473 times more happy than i've
ever been in my life bcause of them.

I do not believe anti-depressants to be "wonder cures". I
believe that anti-depressants can be useful in conjunction
with other treatment methods, such as seeing a psychiatrist.
The anti-depressants can merely help you feel lighter and
maybe change your destructive way of thought. When you feel
the need for anti-depressants, you almost certainly also
have the need for professional help to overcome your issues.
Popping a pill, won't help alone.

Not all people get an effect from them either, and some
people can experience a reverse effect.

I take 2x70mg efexor a day, which are depot pills, so the
effect isn't noticable for anything between 3 to 6 weeks.
Mine are working now, and I guess it's allright, but they
wouldn't mean shit to me if I didn't go see my psychiatrist
once a week.

I'm not sure if you'll ever read this, neetta, as I heard
you left the board, but if the effects of what you are
taking are strange, you should ask your doctor to start you
on a different type of medication. God knows there are
hundreds of different types, and prozac isn't neccessarily
the best option for you
