SPD - new XLT crew member

Let's welcome SPD to the crew. He'll be working on the
discography since he does have a lot of knowledge about
certain artists and he's willing to put time and efforts
into the Xltronic discography.

Now we'll prolly see the most complete Squarepusher
discography on the net.

hi, and welcome squarepusher
discographer.

offline Joyrex from watmm.com (United States) on 2004-02-26 08:04 [#01090073]
Points: 1389 Status: Lurker

Congrats to SPD - he worked on watmm's Squarepusher discog
(and was/is still slated to do so) before, so he brings a
lot of knowledge to the field. I'm glad he found the time to
be able to help out with your discog.

offline earthleakage from tell the world you're winning on 2004-02-26 08:06 [#01090080]
Points: 27795 Status: Regular | Followup to Joyrex: #01090073

presumably we're now in the business of stealing all your
scans? :)

offline Joyrex from watmm.com (United States) on 2004-02-26 08:09 [#01090084]
Points: 1389 Status: Lurker

Well, considering at the moment all the scan are on my HD
and not on watmm, that would be hard, wouldn't it? :)

SPD did a TON of scans for the watmm Squarepusher discog,
and I still plan on using them - but if he wants to use them
for XLT, he's welcome to do so since he did the work
scanning them in the first place. I only take issue with
scans that I've done and are used without permission, but
that would be something you'd have to ask Phob about ;)

Points: 10507 Status: Webmaster | Followup to Joyrex: #01090073 | Show recordbag

According to SPD (he contacted me - not the other way
around) he'll transfer all his Squarepusher (and other
artists) material&info to Xltronic - if I understood him
correctly.

I'm not upset at all (if that's what people are assuming),
as I don't have any 'control' over people and whom they help
out per se, so if he contacted you, then he obviously wants
to help you out - nothing wrong with that at all. He really
knows his Squarepusher stuff, so at least the info for SP
will be accurate in your discog - which is good for you and
all the XLT users.

offline Joyrex from watmm.com (United States) on 2004-02-26 08:15 [#01090098]
Points: 1389 Status: Lurker | Followup to JAroen: #01090090

See, it's comments like yours and Earthleakage's that end up
starting conflicts between boards - do you honestly think I
have the time in the day to be concerned about such petty
things? I'm not SPD's employer nor does he owe me any
loyalty - if he wants to help out any site (or start his
own), that's his choice. I'm not going to go all apeshit
like some did here at XLT when I supposedly 'stole' Nacmat
away as a mod. I'm a bit more mature than that (mom jokes
aside :)

It wasn't my hosting company per se, it was a bad IP address
that was the subject of prior DDoS attacks. It's all been
straightened out now, and watmm is up for some people (DNS
takes time to propagate).

See, Pigeon is not going all crazy saying 'YOU BASTARDS!
YOOUUU STOLE ESSS PEEE DEEE FROM USSS!!! AAAAAGGGH!"

Take notes XLTers....

So where is this dude?

The Squarepusher discography is already quite staggering as
it is [read: currently an audio clip of every singe track].
I'd like to see what rareties he has to contribute.

btw...I love Joyrex's "I'm not mad YOU FUCKING BASTARDS"
style of posts above. They gave me a bit of a laugh. Do
you really think you stole agent nacmat away from us? He
is, and always will be, an xlt'er before a watmm'er.
