Last Tuesday the music makers of xltronic.com took part in the first of a series of themed musical projects. Participants were given less than 4 days to create a song and submit it for potential use in the final product, a full length mix-album. The theme for this project was pillows. The tracks have been selected and mixed, and the result is a collection of raw talent from artists at every corner of the globe, from bedroom knob twiddlers, to established artists. A few more things: *If anyone has a site that can host this mix, that would be awesome. I had to pay for the site it's on now and you can't even stream it. *Special thanks to epohs for the cover art. *Thanks to all who participated. I apologize if your track didn't make it. I wanted to keep it under 1 hour. *I do believe this is my greatest accomplishment. In a matter of days I was able to make over 20 people compose music about pillows. *I command everyone to download and listen to the set. There are many beautiful tracks and quite a bit of work went into the project. *If you want to learn more, here is a to the original thread. |

pomme, i would host it for you, but xltradio is taking up just a little bit too much... i have only 100Mb... im going to hit him up for more, because i remember being offered 200Mb back when i only really needed about 10Mb heh..... i'll get back to you about that... |

i'm trying to download it, but it's at like 5k/second, at school, which has fast as hell connections... i'll have to wait till wednesday to get it on my home computer i guess... btw i did my track in like 30 minutes :D about 2 minutes of me recording pillows (hitting stuff against pillows, incl. the microphone), about 5 minutes getting the sounds on the computer and making them into individual aiff files for my demo of reason the demo quits after 20 minutes :x haahaha see if you can figure out how i ripped off aphex 4 times with that track |

you might want to look into www.endlessmix.com they may be able to host this for you and are always looking for mixes (im pretty sure). head over there and send the admin an email. they might be able to help. |
