I am but I'm kinda pissed that it's in Japan/Korea this
year. Cause if I wanna catch the live games on TV, they're
on from 2:30am to 7:30am EST here. They do show repeats
later in the day but who the fuck watches taped games and
I'd be at work anyways.

Who's your team????

SWEDEN all the way baby (Im holding in down fo USA too)!!!

I hate organised sport also. The best sports are those that
are spontaneous. In my village we like to chase the village
idiot around the market square for 'sport'. We throw rotten
fruit at hik and trip him up so his knees shatter on the
cold, hard cobblestones. Now that's what I call sport!

I'm in a state of depression because of it. I fucking hate
how mad the nation goes fo r what is essentially a load of
grown up blokes kicking a bit of leather around a field and
getting paid extortionate amounts of money for it. It's
ridiculous.

Death to Beckham and his stoopid wife. I hate seeing their
stoopid faces everywhere. You can't even take a shit in this
country without being confronted with them in some form or
another.

I couldn't give a rats fat ass about the world cup. The
world cup to me means more
'football-is-the-best-thing-in-the-fucking-universe' tv
programs (which piss me off cos it clearly isn't), more
football-related TV adverts (which piss me off), more
football violence and drunked twats marching through the
streets like they have some god-given right to harass people
(which piss me off), and more fucking football on TV (which
pisses me right off)

So, world cup: COCK OFF!

Beautiful game? Fetid pile of dog turd more like.

(can you tell I don't like it much?)

Everything else I love. Except brussel sprouts

I'm looking forward to it.

So do you guy not like playing football then?

I mean, did all your mothers have football related deaths?

Nah, football is just pointless. I mean, apart from the
obvious benefit of keeping you fit it serves no purpose. You
can get fit in other ways, like running from the police so
why kick a fucking bit of leather about?

Because alot like picking someone off in Goldeneye on the
N64, Some people get a buzz from taking the ball around
someone and making a good pass for your team mate to score,
then taking the piss outta the guy you took it past.

Watching it is just coz alot of people like watching the
experts.

Do you not like any sports then? Coz if you apply your
theory of it being pointless kicking a ball around, you
mustn't like virtually any sport!

I like tennis but that's it really. Well, I went a bit far
sayting its pointless but it does get on my tits. I hate the
culture of football and you can't get away from it in this
country. I'm just a miserable bastard really.

I hate the game, but what is worse:
Next week,my parents leave for 2 weeks.
My brother and his friends are huge fans,so they're always
watching .
They are disgusting.
Drinking beer, being noisy, smoking in our living room.
and they smell .
Everyday! IT MAKES ME SICK!!!

I love soccer and I cant wait till it begins.

argentina and france are my favourites to win but I dream
with spain doing it for the first time.

brazil, Italy and germany have their chances but in a second
level compared with france and argentina.

england and portugal could give some surprise.

Cuz if it's broadcasted live it'll be at really strange
times. Like when I'm in school or something... Damn asian
time zone!

i don't think we can beat Argentina.
But with a little luck we can beat England and Nigeria.

I used to like it but now I'd much rather watch snooker(it
was on the BBC all the time a while ago). Besides my country
didn't qualify but still manages to beat countries who did
qualify using second rate players... I don't know what to
think about it.

reasonably excited.

winner group a (france?) vs runner up group f (england? or
argentina?) .. in fact i wouldn't be surprised if france
didn't make it to the quarterfinal.

there aint no football/soccer culture here in nz, so there's
nothing to get pissed off about .. i don't really follow it
that much throughout the year coz its too time consuming,
but i'll make an exception for this event. i dunno .. more a
matter of nostalgia for me than anything .. bring it on i
say!!!
