He keeps going on about change. What change exactly? Big
government? Lots of "programs"... punishing small business'
with fines and more taxes? That kind of change?

i dont remember

but, it's a ridiculous question. what is ANY human being on
the PLANET going to do if a nuclear bomb were to explode on
AMERICA? most will try to dig a hole as far underground as
they can, fearing death. those who do not fear dying though
will carry on!

and that's really the only logical answer you can say,
right?

i remember now one thing that he said, and it was about
retaliation. he said (not verbatim)

" I'd make sure we retaliated against whoever launched the
attack against us."

well , ok, as if the initial strike was not a sign to the
inhabitants of Earth that the End of human civilization was
over.....

there's really no reason to "like" any politician unless you
are that politician. you should "like" a politician if you
are that politician you are "liking". you see what i mean?

there is a viewpoint that you have that no one else on the
planet does - and that includes the president of your
country. or congressman, or judge...

they are not you - but they are decided the outcome of
major world issues. this is a very big problem considering
the world we live in now and the wildly spreading
international problems. we need a new way of doing things!
obviously politicians DO NOT WORK!

Would it be easier to make Americans change their system by
encouraging everyone not to vote instead of trying to
get them to actually make an informed decision about who to
vote for and then actually voting?

offline Barcode from United Kingdom on 2008-01-07 04:24 [#02161264]

Anyone hoping through real change through the political
system is kidding themselves. It is the value system that is
faulty. You can talk of revolution but that's just a
re-evaluation of the same old value system.

Politicians are born out of the value system. If they are
"slippery and slimy" it's because YOU are slippery and
slimy. They are a representation of what the people want,
and they will do whatever the people want to win votes -
that's the game. Do people want conflict and aggression, I'm
afraid the answer is yes, because that is what we see all
around us in various forms.

As long as internally we are in conflict and aggressive,
then the outward manifestation of that will be conflict and
aggression in society, and politicians will continue to
believe this is the normal way to conduct themselves on our
behalf.

Can the value system change? Probably not. If you want
change, YOU change. You will never see the benefit in your
lifetime though. The minute you persuade someone to think
like you think, you have caused conflict and the value
system is back to square one.

Dennis Miller: More on this from SNL news correspondent,
Chris Rock!
Chris Rock: Thank you, Dennis. Now as you know, there's been
alot of talk about a black vice president. And I just wanna
tell the world that it'll never happen. As long as you live
you will never see a black vice president, you know why?
Because some black guy would just kill the president. I'd do
it. If Colin Powell was vice president, I'd kill the
president and tell his mother about it. What would happen to
me? What would they do? Put me in jail with a bunch of black
guys that would treat me like a king for the rest of my
life? I would be the biggest star in jail, alright, people
would be coming up to me and I'd be signing autographs:
"97-KY, here you go." Guys would be going: "You're the
brother that shot Bush. And you told his mother about it
huh? I hope my children turn out to be just like you, Man,
you know I was getting ready to rape you until I realized
who you were. And even if they had a death penalty, what
would happen? I'd just be pardoned by the black president.
So you see, Dennis, it would not be in George Bush's best
intrests to place Colin Powell on the ticket.

Iowa is all white and they voted for obama. That's why
everyone thinks he's going to win. People aren't racists
towards black people as much as people think, they are
racists towards black people that can't speak the English
language properly and strut around like they are 50 cent.

around here, it's a shame but most people who 'strut around

somewhere along the way they were infected by the

I want to see Obama's MTV cribs episode when he is in the
white house. Mag wheels on the limos. Purple tinted windows.
Press conferences will all start with a short RnB medley.
Ok, I'm being racist. How can we make fun of him? All the
stand up comics are going to look like racists. Every
president has to be made fun of from here to eternity. Its a
fact.
