I'm getting impatient. The videos, impressions on gaming forums and reviews are leading me to suspect it might be the best thing ever.

I just got back from seeing this at the local video store. There was a crowd around the console and everyone had smiles. Not coming out for another two days, the man said. Galaxy looks much better than past Mario games and if everything I heard is true, I'll be getting it this holiday season. The way Mario leaps around in space is really innovative and I like the way you can shake the controller. Clank clank vroom! Gamepro gave it five red dudes with exploding heads, what more could you ask for? The Game, Joseph! Hurry up and come out so I can play you!

It's probably done with an emulator. Super Mario Bros. and Mario 64 are my all time favorites. There was another game where Mario and Luigi fought each other on what looked to be Vault levels. I played this at my neighbors house, he's got one of those robots too. I don't like videogames very much.

haha, even if that was done on an emulator or edited together, it's still a nice goal to try and beat :)
my best time is well over 30 minutes. i also like trying to beat it playing every level, good way to spend a night when you don't intend on sleeping.

i called an ebgames (or maybe it was gamestop i'm not sure which name they kept) today to see if it comes out today or tomorrow. websites list the shipping date as the 12th but it's not actually available until the 13th (tomorrow)
the clerk told me it comes out the 20th. not true. based on this i'll travel an extra 15 minutes or so to a local videogame store who gave me the correct release date when i called.

The Transformers game you say? I'd rather watch the Transformers cartoon movie battle scene with Weird Al's "Dare to be Stupid" as the fight music and act the scene out myself, with wii-mote in hand.

This game is going to be brilliant, but I don't have the cash to buy it on day 1, I already have my money tied up in a ton of other November games. Hopefully one of my little cousins will get it at launch or something.

got it and played it today....
it's great! great combination of new style of play mixed with some old style of play and of course nostalgic characters (and a few new and they don't stink like those aquamarine blobs in mario sunshine)
the game has such oh so adorable things such as the bee costume and the lumas. i'm a 23 year old male and i love it!
music is good as well (with a good amount of nostalgic rehash)

what is up with all of xlt doing the extreme hype thing for a fucking mario game?
i'm looking forward to this game as much as the next guy, but damn. why does everybody have to shout it will be the best game ever? because mario sunshine was pants?
it'll never be as good as mario64 and people know it, and out of sheer desperation try to drive that thought out by shouting about the new game. crazy.

It won't have the same impact or influence as Mario 64, but nostalgia aside it's definitely going to be a better game. It's not 1996 anymore, the style isn't as bland now and the level design is more imaginative and less hindered by technology. They really learned their lessons from Mario Staleshine.

Super Mario64 is fantastic. Everything about it is fantastic. Only Zelda: Ocarina Of Time approaches its greatness. Super Mario Galaxy is the most exciting gaming event since Mario64. The Wii is the biggest-selling console in the world, because Nintendo have awesome games---games with souls, with real wonderment.
