i believe there are an infinite amount of opinions, and possiblitys
and obscenely small amount of actual evidence for any argument in matters of religion, in short, i'm smart-
not smart enough to know the answer, but not dumb enough to say that i do

i know it's a clichè, but (shit this is going to be hard explain, excuse my poor English) i've always believed that "God" is something that we've "created" in our mind. It's like we've created this "father-figure" for the human-race and all living things. But if it helps people believing in God, that's cool for them. for me, i don't need him.

Uh... I don't know. I'd like to, but I don't know... how the hell DID we get here, anyway? Something must have happened... what or who did it... and where did IT or THEY come from? How the hell?!?!?!?!?! There has to be a beginning somewhere... right? How could a big bang just kind of... BANG... happen like that?
So I don't know what to believe... someday.
If there IS a God, I know he hates me.

no, i dont i try not to BELIEVE that there is no god either...
i have no idea but think there's probably no god im pretty sure there isn't
the chance of god being real is the chance that santa clause happens to be real too
the thing is: its obvious that wether there is one or not, OUR idea of 'god' is made by US.
its a human creation it comforts us makes us feel important justifies our actions
i agree with phresch it helps to believe in god, its like a phycological tool u can use to make life easier
so, i definitly dont believe OUR idea of god exists in the way most people do
in the way he is supposed to

I go to church every Sunday, but only because my mom would hate me if I didn't... I don't listen or care, I sit there and look at the abnormally large amount of pretty females that go my church.
I find when I'm pissed or stressed, I say ''For God's sake!'', ''Fucking Jesus Christ!'', ''Jesus, Mary and Fucking Joseph!'', ''God help me!'', ''Please God!'', etc, etc. So I'm KIND of religious, in a way... a obscenity filled way...
Yeah, and when I'm happy, I always ''Thank God'', stuff like that. Strange.

yeah but saying that a major deite is unlikely is a whaste of breath
human beings are unlikely, but here we are so is any genetic material floating around in space, but it's there- and most importantly the very nature of atomic structure strikes me as the most preposterous thing i'd ever heard- but , again, there it is. what's the point in saying how "likely" something is if you don't have any real way of gathering any real evidence that will actually prove the argument one way or another, the only "proof" we have has been either created or at least, by humans who remain, as always, imperfect.

I was raised in a christian household, and all my life I've had God, and Christianity pushed down my throat... recently I've been thinking that maybe I've just believed in God because I've been told that he exists all my life... I've really been thinking if I actually believe in God or not... or if it's just something that's been fed to me all my life... it's funny, when you've grown up in a household like mine you hardly have a choice as to whether God exists or not, because you grow up going to sunday school, and attending christian schools, etc, etc, and it becomes imprinted in your brain... so I've been trying to really figure out what I believe... I don't go to church anymore, or any of that... it doesn't interest me... but things just seem to point to the fact that God does exist (for me anyways)... simple little things, but when they happen I'm like "whoa, cool!!"... so yes, I believe in God...

ya of course.. u cant measure the probability of something without all the facts
i just meant we made up god like we make up santa claus for kids
imagine if the big myth of santa claus just happened to actually be real, like we happened to make up the right supernatural being
the chances of ANYTHING are extremely unlikely, this is where statistics just become useless when talking about stuff like this
u cant measure shit like this in that way the genetic code of ostriches is EXTREMELY unlikely perhaps the whole universe was created for them the persice arangement of atoms that make up a cloud is EXTREMELY unlikely.. perhaps the universe was created just for that cloud

exactly aminal- and i agree that even if there was a god, or is a god that doesn't get onto the news often (whatever) i'm gonna say that 9/10's out of every "holy" book is miscomunication, misunderstanding, or traslation error, so what's the point of using a bible, for instance as proof? if it's in english it's not even written in the original language, how can you safely interpret any of it?
well i'm done with this topic now, i'm going back to my own personal religion
