I wonder what the quality is like. Are these from the
masters or did they just rip some vinyl?

Will the dastardly Professor Portquim get away with it?

and flac them.

Take record from shelf. Put record on turntable. Open
audioeditor on computer. Press record. Put needle on record.
Play. Edit file. Save. Drop files on flac encoder.

It sounds good, definetely mastered better than the Bleep
MP3s which were kind of quiet. It is not vinyl sourced.
Overall sounds cleaner and the bass is much smoother and
deeper.

yeah, let's hope they are remastered.

i remember when warp was to put out '26 mixes for cash',
they asked me if I had some of the original cd's with
remixes to send over - they were needed for the process. eh?

on the other side, they were in a hurry, since another
label/company was to release the same thing....

I wish they hadn have that problem with the other label (the
hurry and alkl that) that way we could now have a better
quality compilation

oh well... the bad quality adds to the mith

offline EVOL from a long time ago on 2005-10-09 09:54 [#01745113]

for "26 mixes" they should have just run an initial pressing
of the crap source material to get it to stores in time for
the release date while in the meantime locating all the
masters to press for the second run... maybe idk.

it would have been a bad idea : imagine the reaction of
people (eg. the true fans) who would have purchased it the
day of the release and then after a few weeks release
there's a much better quality version
