Right the only reason why i say anything is because you are ruining it all for me, ok?
Don't be a smart arse, i know because you have been before to me. I didn't actually say anything to you in person. So leave me along, alright.
Bye!!!

"As feared, things like Dayvan Cowboy tread dangerously close to some sort of adult contemporary new age. I keep waiting for beats to drop that never come. "
what kind of arsehole skips through the opening bars of songs he downloaded, and then writes a totally ill-informed review of those songs?
the person who wrote the above comment obviously hasn't even listened to the song 'dayvan cowboy'. he says he keeps waiting for beats that never come. LOL!!! dayvan cowboy kicks in with a huge violent drum section that is possibly the most noisy rhythm section i've ever heard by an 'idm' act.
naysayers indeed. if you're gonna have a pre-release swipe at a band you don't like, at least do some research so you don't make yourself look like a complete spacker :-)

exactly. fans of venetian snares and squarepusher can't be expected to like it. the problem is this so-called genre called 'IDM'. it just doesn't exist really. trying to group BOC in with Squarepusher is like trying to group Ween with Metallica, just because they both use guitars.

i dunno, i think some of teh rolling hip-hoppy beats in MHTRTC carry the songs as much as the melodies. they're not as complex or crazy-programmed, but i think the rhythms are pretty important to their music holding together and pushing forward.

this album blows. i mean really, this album sounds like the result of Yanni listening to older Boards of Canada material and then trying to mimic it. The fuckin soundscapes are thinner than Michael and Marcus' hairlines. The derivative guitar sounds like every other fucking album released on any rinky dink idm label from germany in the past four years. anyways the fact that this album sucked so badly isnt a surprise arent these kooks in their mid-thirties now?

hell, even mhtrtc had a couple of tracks on it i thought were pants!
too many tards here have got hold of the fake (which is truly insipid) and are basing their views on that

you idm twats couldnt see great music if it smacked you in the head with a hammer.. like boc did with this album right here.
dayvan cowboy may have the best melody ive ever heard, along with tears from the compound.
dayvan builds up, its amazing really.
other notable songs on the cd include sattelite anthem icarus,
ataronochron, farewell fire etc. songs that i havent quite grasped yet are 84 pontiac dream, sherbert head, up to that poinnt the album was sublime but then it went a little downwards.
it picks up immediately with oscar see through red eye though.
it takes an advanced listener i guess, but one thing is for sure, if you don't like tears from the compound, dayvan cowboy and sattelite anthem icarus(the most straight forward ones on the album) you'¨re not a real boc fan, cause they are one of the most beautiful songs they have ever made.
