Well I actually did hear the whole thing and it DOES suck.
The only half decent part is literally less than half of one
song and that is when it goes quiet and he plays the same
atypical NIN piano chords and whispers an atypical NIN
selfdeprecating phrase or two.

Oh, and I actually really like the Fragile too. But it took
me over a year to rediscover it.

I don't know-- he's had six years, man. In that time,
Venetian Snares has recorded twice or more what Trent's done
since 1989!

And not all Snares tracks are great, don't get me wrong, but
they're infinitely more exciting.

"left". that's what i meant to say.

healthy now. and it's affecting his art.

yes, but in that time he has been busy going through
drug-hell and coming back... its quite understandable that
he couldnt make that much music during that time.

maybe if enough people tell him that this album is sucky
he'll have something to be genuinely depressed about and
he'll be able to make good music again.

actually, looking at the website news, it's been perhaps
about (ballpark) one year writing and recording. not even
close to six or seven years.

correction, I meant 6 or 7 years to release another freaking
album. No one spends 6 or 7 years 'recording' that would be
retarded.

all have to say? yes. will i keep an open mind about it? of
course. will i be dissappointed? probably. damn.

hmm, aj of the backstreet boys used that bs first.

i do have to say, the single is not really a good
representation of the rest of the record. not to say that
the rest of the record is good because i definitely don't
think so (except for every day), but it's at least not as
bad as that song.

at first listen, not caring about the lyrics, it doesn't
sound that bad.

I loved NIN from the first moment i heard 'Wish' almost 12
years ago. He has rarely written a decent lyric but the
music was so full of angst and anger, I hardly cared about
the doggerel screamed throughout. It was through NIN that i
discovered my love of electronic and industrial music. I
haven't heard "With Teeth" yet, but even if it sucks ass,
NIN will still remain the most influential music to my life,
along with David Bowie, Aphex Twin, BOC, and Skinny Puppy.

now.. With Teeth... download it...? hmm. maaaaybe.. hmm...
wait?... hmmm... maybe not... tempting!

I seriously love NIN, but Ive been waiting so long that I
dont even feel that disappointed. But the title track is
hilarious: "A-witha! teetha!" what??

The new Snares and Becks "Guero" are keeping me happy
enough. :]
