 | Who's listened to it? I'm not a Fiona fan but the buzz caught my attention. If this is a ploy to revive a
 flagging career it's working

I think it's sort of okay... inventive music - kind of
reminds me of the 70s vibe of Archer Prewitt's new album
Wilderness mixed with some older show tunes or something.

Main problem is that the moneymoney production overpowers
Fiona's weak voice. Would have been better with ragged indie
production to suit her weak pipes.

 | Persist! Sony hasn't released the album so this is the only way you can get it.

Yeah, I was just silently comparing her to other chantoozies
I used to lump her in with... Lisa Loeb, Shawn Colvin, etc.
 - Lisa Loeb in particular is like the distilled essence of
coma. This is not at all the same.

 | noice. Sony shelved her album and she was pissed. this might be a fantastic revenge.

record companies are probably already using leak sites as
 their own tools.

 | Im so excited about this. :) I think shes such a talented artist and its a shame that Sony wont release Extraordinary
Machine because, as I have heard, its not commercial enough.
 :|

As a reply to a mention of Tori Amos (Im a huge fan and have
been for ages), I think she has a ton to offer. Her newest
isnt nearly as good as anything she has done--I think that
BfP and CGH have been her best work, and CGH is one of my
favorite records ever--but there are some awesome songs on
 it.

Also, Matt Chamberlain worked with Fiona on When the Pawn
and is also Toris regular drummer. :D
