Anyway, on to my question: Why doesn't a cheap, reliable video editing application for Windows exist that doesn't require a herculean CPU to perform simply cut and past functions with any sort of speed? |

I think the problem lies in the fact that although HD is a relatively old technology, there hasn't been enough of a demand for editing software that will run on a 'normal' computer. Therefore it is still a specialized market and if you want to do this you still require 'specialized' hardware and software. |
