My only thought on why we get no answers back today is because maybe grant and richie took a moment away from throwing cash at each other to load up a car and mail all them binders. it'd be cool if there was a hidden groove thing on A10 (analord 10) steaksause. you know 2 cuts on one side of the record, each track with a different...track/song on it. i think they did this on the last tool album, a few cheech & chongs... http://www.kempa.com/blog/archives/2004_03.html for reference. |

Why cant we hear samples before we order? well, we count on those who will buy anything from aphex, whetever its shit or not. this is shit, again, but there are people that need it !! Are all the Analord releases going to be available on the 180g Audiophile Vinyl? we planned to release all of them in this format, then we realized that no one has proper turntable player to recieve the magnificent quality of the sound., we will release a simple Tape then :) when all the volumes are released, will there be a CD version? No plans at present, it also depend on which shelf richard will try to clean. will the sleeve be real or faux leather real, the one collected from Michigan, Ohio and Essex ( finest baby infants and youngies killed by richard himself ) How many tracks can we expect on the different vinyls? It varies, total number = 0 tracks. we sell only package for shit, theres no need to add music when we know that fans will buy it anyway. can we just pay another outstanding large sum upfront, and then have all the vinyl's shipped to our door, instead of going online and placing an order each month? all interested - please send mails to richard, he will inform tyou with account details if you want to add yourself to "Rich's charity guestbook". he needs new gear to his garage. |

i find it retarded so many people are jumping on the afx bashing bandwagon, just watch analord will be incredible - why the fuck would he release a turd on audiophile vinyl and put it in a binder? obviously he likes to take the piss , but that is just going too far , further analogue+aphex twin=consistantly brilliant , i for one cannot wait to hear a return to old school aphex styles , but with a truckload of extra gear propelling things forward , he probably has so much hardware that he can effectively do anything reaktor can but on analogue shit. also why would grant and soundmurderer big it up if it was shit? fair enough it is pricey , that is an understandable complaint , but yr just deluding yrself if you reckon it will suck. anyway we just have to wait and see now... when was the last time something actually by "aphex twin" dissapointed?? |

Yes, I am not sure how good Analord 10 will be.. not a big fan of the nu acid style thing that RDJ has done (a la 2 remixes).. I have my doubts. But from what I can tell the entire series should be pretty dope! Analord 1 and 2 sound like they will rock. |

In all fairness, it's not like astrid-gil-botn is personally answering our questions. Obviously (besides having a negitive attitude about xlt) he is quite busy. Its coming out either way as trentee (i believe) pointed out. Although i think its cool that we have a situation for questions, perhaps this would have been a good idea when the fakes surfaced. |

I was just assuming they would be acid tracks based on the track titles. It's the same naming convention as the 2 remixes. Sometime Aphex track titles can be pretty telling as to the content of the track.. Also, early on there was some talk of Analord 10 being acid. Though i haven't heard that lately as more details have come out. |

I was wondering about this. I vaugely remember some artist who'd heard them (soundmurderer perhaps) mention there were a few breaks in there... Perhaps sampled "analogue" IE vinyl onto tape loop? I wonder how 100% analogue it'll be. I bet there will be at least some digital stuff on there, even if the vast majority is analogue. Actually, that could be another question, "Will it all be 100% analogue- you know, no digital samplers, an analogue mixer, recorded to tape rather than HD?" |

What is the story with Richard's 'stage' names? If Aphex Twin can only be used by Richard on WARP releases then Rephlex have fucked up by putting it on the Analord release hence the long wait whilst they reach a gentlemans agreement with WARP? Can Grant clear up this whole name thing once and for all. Is it true that he can only release under particular names with certain labels? (yeah I know GAK is also on WARP). Ta. |
