plaster - the fact that you got the sample pack for free is not so great, simply because Fizzarum earn money only from playing music, as you can imagine in eletcronica world - they earn almost nothing. thats why they made the sample pack - to try and earn some money , in order to feed themself and their families. it may sound like a joke, but its not unfortunately .

BTW Generally agree with opinions on "Warm Math" but I do feel that that album has some of the best tracks they have ever done on it.
It would have made a cracking e.p., bearing in mind that I have a soft spot for melody.

Hi! This is Dmitry from Fizzarum. Fizzarum sample library was never FREE. By releasing that CD, the intention was to get some financial support, which allows us to make music. If you want to buy our sample library "Threshold Electronica" welcome to http://www.fizzarum.com
Thank you for your support.
to Plaster - keep your FREE library, but dont offer it to others. You didn't put your time and work into that library, and its definitely not yours to give it for free to others. How would YOU feel, if money you earn from your work, was given to anyone on the street?

Hi Dmitry, I just wanted to say that monochrome plural is held up as one of the few elite "idm" albums in my mind. Every single track is aesthetically wicked as well as crafted with control and detail few others can replicate. If you can be bothered I highly recommend you check out Crunch's "1" album since I think it's quite similar and you'd like it.
Good luck making money solely off music... it's hard to do nowadays I reckon... especially if the money is split between like 5 band members or however many you have.

Likewise, I list monochrome plural as one of my favourite electronic albums of all time, (check my 1st ever post on this board for proof)
What other stuff do you guys have out?, it's hard to get hold of in London, I normally shop in Rough Trade, Sister Ray,Ambient Soho,Smallfish etc.

soundguy - if you've got Monochrom Plural and Microphorus, then you can get some compilations (from Merck, Lo, etc) . in Selecta Disc on berwick they used to sell Fizzarum 12" on that French label , cant remember the name , the cover with a robotic cat. check Selecta disc maybe.

neetta - i like some of messer für frau müller stuff. and their solo work as well (Oleg Kostrov). although i must say that the latest releases are very similar to the previous albums, so i've lost my interest a bit. if you have the chance get Oleg Kostrov - Ivonna, i think its very lovely piece of music (a soundtrack for theatre show actually).

cheers timtom, I don't have Microphorus as I've never seen it anywhere, that's the one before Monochrome Plural?
I have RU 1 & PTMBIM (morr music comp) but the tracks off these are both from MP.
To be honest I didn't even think Fizzarum were still going because when I bought the Syntetika album it said "new album from ex-members" so I presumed they were all doing their own thing.
I'll check Selecta Disc though, what comps featuring their stuff are good.

soundguy - Microphorus was released a month before the album, also on Domino. i'm sure you can find a copy on eBay or something. maybe even Music Exchange on Berwick. its got one track from the album (Microphorus) + Bionic Boogie and 2 other tracks. well worth buying!
re compilations - if you want exclusive tracks, then you should look for russian compilations i think. all the compilation tracks on merck or Lo were taken from Monochrome Plural. there is a cool track called Distorb on Artefacts compilation (Art-Tek records, label of Solar X) , i bought it here, and the whole compilation is very good as well. also there was one new track on Out to city-3 from Cheburec (another russian label) , and i think some track is coming out on compilation from a new russian label . Dars records. not sure if there was anything else.

soundguy - the russian samples on Izoterica are taken from popular russian sci-fi animation "The secret of the third planet" from the 80's. the long sample says "Genious! Stay here as the genious mechanic of the planet" . and the short sample says something like: "These are controlled robots"
i dont know if that cartoon was ever translated and released outside of Russia, but i recommend to find a copy, as its a really good piece (i think there are 3 parts).
Matvey - Izoterica is on the Monochrome Plural album (Domino)

soundguy and Matvey - "Izoterica" was influenced by the popular russian sci-fi animation "The secret of the third planet" from 1982. Thank you TimTom for translating the phrases.
By the way, we're going to release a remix on the soundtrack from that cartoon. The remix will contain warm analogue and spacey melodies taken from the original soundtrack.
