The crew followed my advice

offline Junktion from Northern Jutland (Denmark) on 2003-08-11 06:21 [#00817210]

thank you guys! :D

I wrote the crew an email about me wanting a
"mouseover"-title on the messageboard-index, so that even
too long Topic-titles could be shown by holding the mouse
over the title.
And they did it! :) and even added the cool feature where
you can see who posted the last post!

Thank you crew!

yeah yeah i know...

it wasnt to point out that i had something to do with it,
more that the crew responded on a request that had something
to do with the programming.

I requested that they have a free doughnut with every 100th
point. They still haven`t gotten back to me the bastards!
Crew if you are reading this, I want my doughnuts! And no,
I'm not a fat American cop. I'm just a sensible citzen who
happens to enjoy doughnuts...Now get to work!

I can normally view the mouseOver command in other webpages
- I've used it many times myself before, too - It's just
weird that in this instance I can't see its effects at all.

well...what browser do you use? and it's not a mouseOver
command (like a Javascript)...it's a function called 'name'
when making a link

actually the mouseover feature was used in the beta version
of this board, but was removed due to incompatibility.

We couldn't decide on a flavour, and felt that making a
selection available was beyond our budget capacity. Things
got a bit heated when it was suggested that we went for
twinkies instead and by the time we'd introduced the
possibility of crumpets and pop-tarts we'd come to virtual
blows. Still nursing our injuries, we haven't had time to
get back to you.

yeah, why was the crumpets-suggestion voted down?

Well, as long as it has been debated... I hate to be given a
back seater yaknow. Perhaps a poll should be introduced? :D

I would go for crumpets - toasted crumpets with lashings of
real butter are simply irresistable

offline xceque on 2003-08-11 07:19 [#00817269]
Points: 5888 Status: Moderator | Show recordbag

I'm all in favour of crumpets, hot and buttery. But shipping
them out every 100 points would be craziness! And they'd be
cold by the time they arrived. And quite possibly squashed
in the jiffy bag.
I think ophecks isn't a crumpet purist so much :p

well...a cold crumpet every week is better than no crumpet
at all....(or food in my case)

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2003-08-11 07:31 [#00817275]
Points: 24589 Status: Lurker

Plus, crumpets are dirt cheap - you don't have to send them
toasted and buttered. Have a freezer full of them, and post
them out - by the time they reach their destination they'll
be thawed out and still edible.

Oh man! Crumpets fucking rule. I don't know what address I'd
have them sent to though. If they came to work then my boss
would be liable to nick them

Crumpets would be a bad idea though. Nacmat would get fat
the amount he'd be eating. We like nacmat as he is. Bless
his soul.

xltronic = nacmat

Yes, that's what it is.

I'd follow Junktion's advice to.
If he told me to cut my hair - I would do so.

I remember when we spoke on the phone and I asked him how he
could keep hard for so long, and he told me elastic rubber
bands are the key...
