XLTRONIC DISCOGRAPHY PREVIEW

It's looking great regardless of what artists are missing.
Whn it comes to trying to find a good discog of an artist
I'll say "fuck google" when xltronic opens :)
I was asking about the Universal Indicator stuff because
there seems to be a decent amount of confusion about the #
of copies, proper tracklisting/lengths, etc. Keep it up, if
this is what %5 looks like I'm kinda scared (in a good way)
of what %100 may be.

There is some universal Indicator stuff there. I couldn't
the UV one though. The other 4 are there though.

great, great!!!
but what about putting all the almost same releases in the
same place, and call them different versions... just an
idea, so one dosen´t have to go through all thoose
windowlicker versions if one seeks sometihing elese...

there will be many different ways of searching/browsing the
discography when the final interface it's done. right now
we're providing the "advanced" interface, which are very
detailed and take care of all different releases. a Mecka
for the hardcore collector. i'm aware of the issue tho, so i
can just say, hold your breath until things are actually
finished.

Call me blind, but I don't see any of the Universal
Indicator Stuff.
I have to expand my music collection now that I have good
reference to what may be good.

recommend you to use the track rating feature. we're about

lowerright. still on the releasepage, click the recordbag
link in the upperleft.

will info about the artists be added? Like a bio, and
history etc?

Reviews of the albums, like on allmusic.com?

Goodstuff, looks like it's going to be great.
By the way, Phob, if you're stuck for stuff for the FSOL
section, discography etc, give us a bell, I should be able
to help you out. I have too much of an obsession with them.

zeus: yeah, bios/articles/history/facts/rumours/...
whatever! LOT LOT LOT.

as for reviews. i dont like reviews and they are often
fucked up and misleading. however, each release will have
its own discussion thread, which leads to this messageboard.
i prefer that way than adding reviews from "pros" that
receive promos from the labels and HAVE to write reviews
about them or else they'll get removed from the labels'
promo-program *wink wink*... ;)

why not add to discogs.com instead? they already have a
substantial, if some what doggy, start to the exact same
discography you're proposing. and please, include some
other music besides autechre and directly related music.

first you want us to abandon our discography and next thing
to say is "add more artists".

well... not to be a jerk, but if you're not into this type
electronic music - what are you doing here?

This is looking just stunning.
MAJOR congrats to the crew, I think none of us can wait for
the finished site now.

WARP and Rephlex etc. ought to put a huge Xltronic
bannerlink on top of their sites, it would be just common
sense.

it's killer.
maybe you could for the format choice include options like
"every cd format", for when peoplewant to see every cd put
out by an artist.
also i hope everything works out with the samples: without
out them on aphextwin.nu i'd never bought any aphex :D

i like that in the voting your vote is displayed for you as:
your current vote is: so you dont screw the thing up after
you've given it a low rating and listen to it again and find
out: that isnt a too bad a track after all

Spank my furry butt ring! I just noticed that AB2 is worth
$150. I paid something like $30 including p+p a couple of
months ago. What a fucking bargain! I love these prices
things :D

AB2 is limited. The estimated prices are assuming
mint-copies tho....

having values are a pain in the arse... and im not sure
whether we'll keep it or not.

I knew it was limited but the price is a shocker. It's a
mint copy I got too :D

w00t!

I can see the prices being an ass though. Maybe people could
put in the prices they paid for it and then an average could
be garnered?

I think it would yes. Maybe if it was another $10 payer
thing then it would. Then you won't have any old prat coming
in and saying that paid $500 for 26 Mixes for Cash. I've
always relied on this place in it's current and previous
incarnation to get prices for stuff.

phob is it worth starting a missing artists thread
i know your not finished with the discog yet but it might
save you pissing about with email etc & i can think of a few
artists that arent on the lists

just a thought
