i work with floops to,
try to download 'cool edit 2000' or something alike, you can
then load a track and cut some sounds out of it and
afterwards try some effects on it, that way you can make
little samples which you can use in fruity loops
maybe there's better software than 'cool edit' dunno 'bout
that, anyway it works for me (for what it's worth :P)

good luck

pretty lame to sign up for this contest only - especially
with an alias like yours. does that mean we might as well
close your account after the contest?

no offense - im sure you all get my point.

i find it so HARD to sit here and try to come up with
something that pleases me. well...how i'm even going to go
ABOUT doing this...first i figured i'd start off with
something i could just build onto: vletrmx21. then i decided
i LOVE that song and i can't touch it. then i decided i'd
mess with teartear. i love THAT song, too! *sigh* i
can just can't find anything i could actually
DO. this is really very depressing.

hats off to autechre for making music i have no idea how to
fiddle with.

Personally I can't stand all these newbies signing up just
for this contest and certainly not if they act like stuck
up, arrogant twats like that guy.

This is just my opinion, but I know that some members think
the same way about it. And personally I even think that
closing the newbies' account after the competition isn't
enough. They should be deleted rightaway. Do I come across
very right-winged that way?

Points: 23533 Status: Moderator | Followup to eXXailon: #00638914 | Show recordbag

It is a bit lame as Phob said, the main problem is that the
username is a sort of 2 fingers to the board, "Fuck you all,
I'm signing up just for the competition". That in itself is
annoying, but coupled with his attitude it's a very fine
line he walks.

offline Q4Z2X on 2003-04-08 10:25 [#00638924]
Points: 5264 Status: Lurker

aeCompEntry should do himself a favor and stop posting here
now. we all know that he would probably anyway after the
competition is through. if he for some reason won, he would
just stay here to brag. he's allready got the name for it.
he should be glad that all new members are given the chance
to compete in this contest and have some of our creations
heard by such great musicians. i know i am. i have created
one remix that i am really proud of, and am almost done with
a second that i like even more, but should i declare it to
everyone, acting childish and boastful? no, i am glad to be
given this opportunity, and i see it as a great chance to be
introduced to a helpful and interesting community, and not
just a opportunity to look like an ass.

"Personally I can't stand all these newbies signing up
just for this contest
"

no i think that's cool. I've been a lurker for a couple of
months myself before i started to post. If such a
competition would have come along i would have signed up
just to be able to enter aswell*... wouldn't anyone?

"certainly not if they act like stuck
up, arrogant twats like that guy
"

yeah you're right there. That was quite pathetic and
unsympathetic.

(*if i could make my own music)
