Having recently discovered Japanese electronic musicians such as Nobukazu Takemura, Susumu Yokota, and Ken Ishii, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any other good Japanese electronica, experimental or otherwise. |

I think you'd better start with Aqua Necromancer, for example... There are rythms and melodies sometimes. |

As for Ikue, no tracks specifically but I'm fond of One Hundred Aspects of the Moon and Hex Kitchen The self titled ISO is amazing As for Polysics, they are somewhat of a hyperpop group that is just offensively poppy yet enjoyable. Anything off Hey Bob My Friend is great for drugged up party porno kill music. |

furoi has great tastes and ill double all those recomends!!! especially boredoms or melt banana live!!!!!! i dont like to dis stuff but have to say that all progressive form stuff is really generic paint by numbers max user boring shit. . . . i could go into more detail. towa tei is good for house heads Y.M.O are true classix if you dig ymo then check out their solo stuff too... the best is SFX by Haroumi Hosono (who also did soundtrak work for Miyazaki Hayou) current japanese electronics of interest should inclued: -miroque -hot troche -sawako -360 records -dj shabu shabu and the soon die crew -cha bashira records -L?K?O -anal cunt and tetsu inoue is a true genius IMHO . . . ."genius" bad wors...sorry... |
