I hope too ;)

Anyway, this world cup miss a great team as Holland... I'm
sorry for that.
Holland is much better than a lot of other teams in this
world cup, imo.

....sigh. don't remind me ;)

saudi arabia shouldn't be there... and they were the best in
the qualifying groups by far! and they want another asian
team to get a piece of the action next time!
unbelievable...

i just hope our national squad will learn something from
this. i can't imagine they're enjoying the world cup
watching it on tv :)

Yeah I totally agreed with you.
That's a pity who players as Van Nisterooy, Overmars,
Davids, Seedorf, Stam, etc... watch these match on TV :(

luckily there's lots of players in the world cup who play in
holland, so we can support them. watch tomasson of denmark
and ono of japan, they are really good!

interesting player.

At this stage I think the portugal/spain duel would be too
close to call (penalty shoot outs?) ... will have to wait
till tomorrow to see how portugal does against the us.

But yeah, italy/brazil/argentina/portugal(or spain) would be
my top 4 picks ???

I guess you are referring to england-argentina... well
english better improve if they want to win against
argentina, they are very solid defending and quite talented
attacking (batistuta, crespo, ortega, piojo, veron, aimar,
kily, all of them very creative and fast)

My forecasts of today:

China - Costarica = 0 - 0
Japan - Belgium = 0 - 0
Korea - Poland = 1 - 1

I already missed China - Costarica = 0 - 2, I hope to guess
the followings results.

china are very bad? now japan and in a few hours
korea...lets see if asian football has really improved...

why the hell was Inamoto's goal dissalowed??? he didnt foul
anyone and wasn't offside, what gives?

impressed by Japan in the second half, though a little week
defending. I think they will get to the second round.

so today we saw japan korea and china, it seems that china
will soon say goodbye, they are too weak for the tournament,
japan has to improve a lot in defense but they have
interesting players in attack and finally korea is for me a
good team, with a great job by the coach (hiddink) and they
can pass to 1/8 finals and who knows if even more...

costa rica may pass, but it will a big fight between them
and the turkish, this last are much more used to high
competition, but as they lost their first match, now
costarica is 3 points ahead and that can be definitive.

poland just said goodbye, cos now they still have to play vs
portugal and usa (maybe against the american they can win
but that wont be enough.

belgium will have it difficult to pass, cos this group has
no clear favourites, (russia, tunez, belgium, japan) but
they can ... maybe they and japan are the two teams passing,
but be carefull with russia, they have a few players in
spanish league and some are great (karpin, mostovoi...)

well portugal is a great team, so its normal if they win
spain, anyway my guess was more based on my wish than on
logic.

before this first matches i thought that Italy and germany
would not reach the semifinals this year, but now I have
serious doubts, cos both countries seemed so strong.

germany had such a great begining, lets see if they keep
that level tomorrow

Italy was awesome, with the great Totti and the killer
vieri, and they make such a solid football, with no weak
points in their defense line... always pressing in the
midfield and with such talented players to score, dont
forget about del piero, inzaghi...

again this time, germany and italy will reach very far...
