YEah im not so keen on cgi characters myself either. Gollum is the only really good one ive seen so far. Hope he has a cool voice tho. SPOILER WARNING! BTW his arms expands to four arms and he weilds lightsabers from fallen jedis. |

since movies are based on the same formulaic linear flow, they all tend to end directly after a climax. in most cases, on a happy, victorious note. then the sequel was formed. this enabled an extension on the previous film. in these sequels the same characters tend to be used and the actions carried out by said characters tend to also be the same. some things are changed just enough to claim a difference between the original and the sequel. sequels are really a giant ,BUT or AND. they can only go on for so long until they sound like rambling (much like this lovely post) then came the idea of the prequel. why not take the same idea but instead use a PREVIOUSLY or BEFOREHAND? i think it's crap |

the problem IMO with episode 1 & 2: they were big commercials to sell STAR WARS crap. Many scenes (like the race in episode 1) already looked like a commercial for PS2 games. Let's face it: Lucas makes most profit on toys, memorabilia and the likes. Don't get me wrong, I WANT to be rocked with episode 3. However, episodes 4-6 were magic. Not marketing. |
