My thoughts about psychotherapy

offline Monoid from one source all things depend on 2013-12-02 02:11 [#02464962]

1: Most therapists don't really like you. They only pretend
to like you cuz they get paid for it. Or, they just tolerate
you, but don't really care.

2: Its easier to go to a therapist than to find real
friends. Its also easier to pay a hooker, than to find a
real mate.
Prostitution and Psychotherapy are for lazy people.

3: They sell you an illusion. They can't really help you. It
doesn't really matter what kind of therapy you do. Most
therapists don't really have a clue what they are doing...or
not doing.

4: Psychotherapy makes you stupid. As soon as you think your
mentally ill, you have no obligation to change anything. No
responsibillity for your own well being or course of life.

I was forced to see therapists when I was in middle school,
due to being too hardcore and anti-establishment. I told
them to fuck off and that they don't shit. The conclusion:
glad I kept it real.

Yes it all black or white. GOD you're boring Monoid. This
has to fucking stop.

Hookers help a lot of people (like you) who wouidn't
normally have sex or a stable partner. It's also a safety
trigger.

I've seen shrinks all my life. And like with any field, you
meet real pros but also people who are bad at what they do.
Then it's how you use your time with them. If it's not
working (or at least helping), which seems to be the case
for you as you've been the same whiny cunt for over 10
years, then you might as well quit.

Keep your shrink, or change (your'e the boss, after all) and
go see a proz'!

How do hookers 'help' you if you still can't find a real
partner? Thats not help, it is some kind of addiction.

Some people suffer so badly from shyness. Prostitutes are
happy to 'help' out men with disabilities. I know in my town
there's an institute for handicaps and they like to go to a
hooker.
It may also be useful for men who have a lot of sexual
energy and need a quick fix rather than a build-up. etc...
there's endless reasons and i think you of all people are a
dick for thinking the way you do.
Of course i'm talking about women who chose that job and
don't belong in some seedy organisation. It depends what
country one is in.
Anyway it's clear to me all your threads are internal
monologues and you don't really give a shit about others
trying to help. You're just talking to yourself.

So just because you feel ashamed to go and hang out with a
sex worker doesn't mean it's a truth. Anyway hookers are
great to talk to as they meet so many people from all walks
of life. To be honest you'd just be another bore.

So yeah, get friends! Why would i be against such an idea?

Fuck you, man!

Fuck you, man!

Yes, if you've realized over the years, xlt is probably
Monoid's best therapy. Because all of us here have similar
interests, and in that sense, he fits in. Aaand in that
sense, he's amongst a group of friends at xlt. He perhaps
would just benefit from finding such a group outside of the
internet.

Monoid, go to art school, man. Tons of interesting
people, as well as those who are fucked up far beyond you or
anyone here thinks of you. I'm taking getting kicked out of
art school first month in, due to coming into art history
class with feces on their face and naked from the bottom
down fucked up.

Plus, tons of art people like electronic music. Good
friends, good art, good music, good parties, good drugs,
good environment. If you ever have the chance, go to art
school. I recommend it.

Art school, seriously? It's made most of my artist friends
into carbon copies. It's horrible. If it's for the case of
socialising you might as well take knitting classes.
Nah i'm being silly but art schools will suck the individual
out of you. You need to be strong to get somewhere
afterwards.

Don't go to art school, look at Jason!! :P

Hey, this is Phobz here using jnasato's account (my account
is too busy running a script to count my DUBturbo
monetizationz), and I agree-- goto art school.
Carbon-copies are the result of people with no
individuality. Perhaps it can come from lack of creativity
and wanting to be part of cliche hip style of the month
club, but what "originality" uuultimately comes down to, is
individuality. Given that Monoid has been posting the same
shit since xltronic was only accessible by dial-up BBS in
1992, that makes him quite specific and unique, in that
regard. Using this mentality, he could perhaps create much
more interesting artworks than someone who's only been
posting the same shit on the internet for half the time.

This is actually true: There was a sweet old woman named
Rose who went to my art school, and she started when she was
60 something. Or late 50's, prolly 60 something, though.
Anyway, she did really well, and it was amazing to see the
glow in her eyes as she interacted with us pre-20-somethings
to early 20-somethings, cuz we all treated her cool, etc.
But during graduation, all the other kids had people around
them, and she was just there, somewhat alone. Granted, I
only saw her for a minute or something, but that's how that
scene played out for me- a somewhat
lonely-realization-moment; yet happy moment when all things
considered. I don't know what the point of that story is-
cuz it's true- but Monoid, perhaps the point is that Life
can only be sad, because it can also be happy. Ups and
downs are part of life, but by focusing on the ups, our life
becomes the ups. Life is, truly, as we perceive it, and for
the individual, ONLY as one perceives it. So be positive,
and all will be positive. And also, go to art school, even
if you are 50+. Rose did it, and she totally got to paint
with us on the beach and shit and laugh like she hadn't in
ages prolly. Cool shit, mang.

I have another suggestion, don't enroll at the art school
but still do the drugs. Have you thought about taking
phychedelic drugs as a kind of self therapy? perhaps you
should get on a plane to the amazon jungle, meet up with a
shaman who will give you some Ayahuasca medicine. This might
help you to get a clear vision of what you need to do in
your life, I would put money on that being the one
experience that changes your life for the better.

Ayauasca is like allowing the universe to be your therapist

And as you insist taking the whole 'carbon copy' thing so
fucking defensively, don't forget i mentioned it takes
character and strength. I didn't say it was already a doomed
affair. But with this bloke/troll all i see is him being
quickly disillusioned by what indeed sounds fun and
exciting. Experience can't be a bad thing of course.

You seem to have a lovely romantic idea about art schools.
Maybe you went to one and it worked well for you. You seem
to move about a lot. Maybe you have an interesting job
thanks to whatever degree you got from an art school. Good
for you if that's the case. I have nothing against people
getting success from art school.

One thing seems quite evident to me: you try ever so hard to
not be a 'carbon copy'. Good for you! Keep it natural!

Yah, you could join figure drawing classes, so you can see a
bunch of different naked ladies weekly (well, and men). The
price is cost of class, newsprint pad, charcoal (or pencils,
etc.). Naked ladies, upping art skills, upping social
skills.

There were several figure drawing models in art school who
were also strippers, so sometimes their poses were hilarious
like some bending backward bridge spread eagle shit.
Whiiich I suppose is fine and all, but at the same time I
was like, "What the fuck is this shit?!" There was one dude
whose wang used to leak, and another dude with a pierced
shaft. And then, there were actually some really good
models who knew how to pose dynamically and interestingly
for the purposes of studying figure.

I miss figure drawing.

This is some of the sanest stuff i've read in a while:

"Contrary to the APA’s assertion, depression is not an
illness. In fact, depression is an adaptive mechanism which
has served humanity well for millions of years. When things
are going well in our lives, we feel good. This good feeling
is nature’s way of telling us to keep doing what we’re
doing. When our lives are not going well, we feel down
or.depressed. This is nature’s way of telling us to make
some changes."

Mechani...
