My thoughts about psychotherapy

I wouldn't go so far to dismiss the outside world or
material goods. These things can indeed bring happiness and
it would be very akward to tell a homeless person that
material goods won't make him somehow happy.

Yah, all relative with regard to physical goods.

But- rich man, poor man, fit man, cripple man, handsome man,
monstrosity of bad proportions man-- in moments of
stillness, we are all the same and experience the same
obscure aspect of consciousness that we perceive as Life
itself. What appreciation of Life we can realize in
stillness when all superficial aspects are shed, are the
gifts of true Happiness that we are capable of.

saying "you should be able to find happiness in solitary
confinement or ur doing it wrong" is not only taking it too
far, it's downright dangerous advice to give to a guy that
clearly needs to get out more.... i mean, what about other
people? friends, love, all that? isn't that outside of you?
it's a gaping hole in your logic, sir. goatse-sized, even.

material goods are temporary happiness, but so is everything
else. people die, break up, whatever. it's OK to splurge to
cheer yourself up sometimes, as long as that's not all you
have. it should be one nice thing in a multifaceted life
stuffed to the brim with different cool fings.

being happy is maintenance and proportion, really. you make
yourself unhappy doing hard things to develop discipline so
you can have more good things, but then a day is just pure
shit, so, fuck it, buy something you can't afford and play
GTA all day, get drunk. the next day, get back to the plan.

"Remember-- you are always experiencing your own
consciousness and only your own consciousness. You have
never experienced anything other than yourself, ever."

prove it!!!

and here's this. the music describes really specific
dance hand motions to my mind, for which you make a 3D box
by placing your hands in various sequential configurations;
i am learning it

As for "prove it!!!"-- it's more like prove that you have
ever experienced anything that is outside of you. But also,
that's like asking me to prove that strawberries exist. I
can shove it in your face and source some wikipedia
strawberry entry, but it means nothing.

As for the beginning bit... Yah, "superficial stuffs" are
good and required, to get to the deeper goods. In that
sense, they are just a necessity that can go wrong. But
monoid is obviously intelligent; possibly too intelligent
for his own sake. Being too much in one's head can
be bad, especially if one is trying to cope with the outside
world. Miserable cuz outside world not figured out-- gotta
get outside head and sort outside, from the outside. Inner
mind too fucked even though outside world is sweet-- gotta
escape outside, go inside, sort self out.

It's actually nice to see people still engaging with you. I
like this place.

"Remember-- you are always experiencing your own
consciousness and only your own consciousness. You have
never experienced anything other than yourself, ever."

I can understand that but i can understand Epic too. We all
dip in to this general 'idea space'. Call it what you want.
Explain it how you want. It's something most artists seem to
agree on.
It was Alan Moore who pointed out that within the space of 2
weeks, way back when, all of a sudden many people came up
with the steam engine idea. Nothing for yonks and all of a
sudden various people from various parts of the world all
pick up on this idea, within days. It's definitely
interesting.
Also i'm pretty sure most of you reading this have had an
idea they never followed through only to see someone else
pick up..

i was just being cheeky; i'm fairly solipsist myself.
jnasato is simply so absolute.... all of this shit should be
considered a work in progress, probably forever.

i like where you've taken it, though. i remember when i got
into all the old detroit stuff, with DJ mixes and sampling
and nicking each others' ideas, i had this vision of detroit
techno as this giant abstract structure with lots of guys
crawling around and welding more stuff onto it; rearranging
bits. what's lovely about music is that it's
non-destructive; not like graffiti where stuff gets painted
over.

the simultaneous invention doesn't really light my tits on
fire. smart guys follow the latest science, you know? at
some point, a key bit of research falls into place. a bunch
of guys read it at once and all see the next step at once.
but, yeah, the shared scientific knowledge base is similar
to detroit techno.

proper synchronicities are a bit of a head-scratcher,
though. i enjoy trying to foment them.

"Psychotherapy makes you stupid. As soon as you think your
mentally ill, you have no obligation to change anything. No

responsibillity for your own well being or course of life.
"

Monoid in a nutshell. Any excuse for being miserable will
do.
