this beat in Cep puiqMX, it's a pretty cool beat. it's
probably made from a Lady Gaga song or something. it's very
mean that it's over after that.

connecting with the songs a lot easier listening to
headphones at work (early morning)...flowing through the
album nicely.

had/have a much more difficult time listening to this at
night on speakers (when i have more energy).

hm i'm feeling the exact opposite. To me, this release works
best when you're not really listening, and it eats itself
into your half- / subconscious rather subdued, coming from
laptop speakers with no bass at all while doing something
else. That's the game where Autechre really excel imo.
Chiastic Slide anyone?

at first i thought M62 was utter shite, but when i don't
listen to it, it works perfectly.

very cool release.

terence, that's what i meant ... headphones on, not paying
110% attn just letting it roll while i work.

versus at home with it cranked and really listening to
hard.

m62 just rolls along nicely when you're not concentrating on
it.

M62 is most boring track ever. It like Analord but more
shit.

Autechre is laughing at us!!!

I managed to give this album a full listen, pretty weak
release imho, the first track is nice though

M62 is the most basic at first listen but somehow one of the
most intriguing. Few of the tracks I can't see growing on me
at the moment, but I never know.

moritz von oswald should do a rework of m62. or even better,
the whole album. his buddy ernestus can join the party too.

"To me, this release works best when you're not really
listening"

You mean it's so boring to listen to you have to do
something else and just stick it on in the background to
placate your subconscious that ae has anything left to
offer.

Just playing devil's advocate.

nah, just that there's so much emptiness/space in between
that putting so much attn on it just leaves you spinning
your tyres

it was just a bit too abrasive and new to listen to directly
maybe.

i didn't like y7 when the preview came out, but it's rather
good actually.

i'm baffled over and over again how B&B mange to cobble
together tracks that apparently are not supposed to be
decent, but in the end they really are.

took a long walk today in the forest, it was foggy and
moist, and this served well as a soundtrack,

congs, congs,

I love move of ten and I love M62. Just consider the title
of that track: The M62 motorway, the BMW M62 V8 piston engine or
the Soviet built M62 diesel locomotive, anyone?

i love the opening track, sounds like a very twisted version
of Dj stingray. after that the album kind of looses steam
for me, the very last track is one of the weirdest & dense
tracks AE has done since Fol3

"If we just passed a joint around in this thread, all the

been to any brostep parties? the mantra of 'the world would
be a better place if everyone just smoked a joint' will be
proven wrong within 30 minutes of being present at a brostep
party

to be perfectly honest i don't understand what autechre are
trying to do nowadays. sadly i don't think they know either.
it's like they took everything lackluster about their 90s
output and then refined it to even worse.

Here's the translation:
to be perfectly honest, i don't like the current output
of autechre. sadly, i project my dislike as some sort of
incompetence on their part (a confusion really).

I like most of the tracks, you need a decent sound system to
hear it properly as some tracks have allot of bottom end

I don't see how this is lackluster.
There is to my ears at least a lot of cool sound design, and
interesting moods and beats.
It sounds to me like they are doing what they've always
done.. Create new sounds and new ways of arranging sounds..

This release though is more accessible and more "cool"
rather than crazy experimental..

epic is what it is. incredibly rewarding listen, and then
it's building up to the most massive climaxing ever, and
then it's - over.

This autechre album is too much like all other electronic
music out in the releases. It sounds like many other music
maker - aphex twin, plaid, hip hop, etc. etc. etc.

personaly i think they have worked more on oversteps, this
move of ten is more like a jam session. i think they just
recorded loads of jamming then knitted them together to make
tracks (with electronic knitting needles)

i just dont understand what the album is? is it even an
album or is it an ep? is it a remix of oversteps, i cant
even tell! i am confused however the more i listen to move
of ten the more it sounds like a full cohesive unit rather
than a collection of tracks however its very similar to
oversteps in source music, its almost like AE dropped two
albums stemming from the same source material.... great
music indeed though.

Oversteps is the album, move of ten is an EP , you can hear
the same samples in it and instruments, but as i said it's
more like a jam session
