The Reader - 3.5/5

Superbly acted film, makes you think about events in SS2 in
a different way but it would have been better, more
immersive and realistic with German actors. Watching a film
where the characters are speaking the wrong language just
constantly reminds you that you are watching a film. Despite
that is is definitely worth watching once,

'The man from earth' 2007

Plot: The movie begins with Professor John Oldman
(David Lee Smith) packing his belongings onto his truck
preparing to move to a new home.

review: This was an excellent film, it had my
undivided attention for the whole duration. Well scripted
and casted, just goes to show you don't need a big budget to
make good science fiction, just a good dialogue and
imagination

4.5/5

'My Sister's Keeper' - Refuse to rate with numbers. Far from
like a perfect film, but the subject matter is just too
fucking real to put a number on. The acting was really good.

Wow, really? I work at a cinema and maybe seen about 30 mins
of it at different intervals. Can;t really jusdge it
properly like that I guess, but fuck me it looks awful!

I thought it was fantastic. Highly entertaining slapstick
horror more in line with Raimi's earlier work than his more
recent stuff. Classic eighties fare, executed masterfully
and the best mix of horror and comedy I've seen in years.

Having said that, six of us went to see it and we were split
down the middle, three loved it, three thought it was dross.
Quite a divisive film I think but at least it's different
form the shite Hollywood has churned out for the last five
years horror wise.
