RIGHT normality partially resumed, sorry its took me so long thinks have been fucking bleak lately for me to say the least but I managed to cobble together the article, apologies if its a bit like a patchwork quilt ive been adding and subtracting stuff from it for a few years and never managed to get it completely coherent

Wonderful piece of work M, well done, and I am sorry to hear you've not had it easy lately.
I will digest all the info properly but I just wanted to say one of the things I find fascinating is the "outtakes" and tracks that could have been on there (SAWII), which you've done a sterling job of going through those. I'd like your thoughts on AB3 track 11 (CD only track #1), "Analogue Bubblebath Vo. 3" on the Trance Europe Express compilation, and whatever is playing in the background of Caustic Window's "The Garden of Linmiri" - .... GO!

I also like to think what the Graphic Novel would have been like. Maybe all sorts of acetates you could layer over each other with some non-linear story, ZX code to program into your spectrum and some moss spores that would grow on the pages? Or maybe it would have been a romp where RDJ had to rescue the master tapes for SAWII from an evil robot called The Man and has all sorts of wacky adventures? Will he make it in time for the rave in Cornwall? Choose your own adventure? The mind boggles.

Cos I was going a bit mentally ill probably near the end of the article through stress it might have ended like that! "And by the way when I typed this sentence I was wearing grey underwear" hows that for a factoid!

I know you're joking but that sounds like a really good idea, all the moss spore prints and a type in basic text adventure about the stolen master tapes. Right up my street that!

I'm half joking because I like the idea too. My one aim, the one aim I've ever had is to program a Text Adventure for the Spectrum. After all these years I found a really good series of articles from ZX Computing magazine (issues April, June, August 1984) that spell (hoho) it out. "Creating an Adventure Brain"
Imagine making the adventure that would go on the flexi disc of a re-issue in some mad parallel timeline... Food for thought.

I've derailed the thread with bad 80s text adventure racism.

Much like the speculation that fans such as ourselves like to indulge in over SAWII and what may or may not have been included in the bigger version, I found a parallel in the The Thompson Twins Adventure game that, for want of anything better to do, I completed this morning, nearly 40 years after its initial release.
There are two references in the game to a forthcoming The Thompson Twins Adventure Series produced by the software house Quicksilva. However an Internet Search brought up no such results. Not even on the wikipedia page for The Thompson Twins Adventure game, which I have since ameded to include this information.
Similar to an expanded SAWII we can only imagine what an enlarged The Thompson Twins Adventure game might have looked like, expanding on that unique universe where Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie and the black one, appear in swimwear (though unable to swim) on a beach a bit like Lost. Probably a game based on their hit "We Are Detective" rather than the flop "Get That Love", but who knows?
