the other day, mum asked, "oh, do you still have a subscription to wired magazine?" i never did have a subscription. i found an entire crate of them and the dump's book exchange, and took them home. wired has this nice coffee-table book feel, and the subject matter appealed to me. there was an article on this "josh wink" and "samplers" and "don't laugh." i had yet to hear any acid, really, yet, and i wouldn't even hear "don't laugh" until years later. i remember loving the article, though... he said: i came home after a long flight, and i was really sleep deprived and burned out, and i just started laughing. and then i sampled it. and then i made that track so there you are. not sure why mum would have an issue with this track? have you heard the story where george w. bush walked in on his daughter listening to "rape me" by nirvana and promptly took the CD; snapped it in half? |
