Yeah periodically, especially if I’m a bit tense.

in this type of situations i always 2 turn 2 the LORD

Matthew 5:29-30

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it
from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy
members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be
cast into hell.

And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it
from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy
members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be
cast into hell.

Wise words.

I think a lot of it is to do with anxiety and stress. I
offer my series of guided mediation podcasts, and this week
there's a special offer on a tranquil meditative journey
building up to a cathartic end where you're power-banged by
Adam Driver in his full Kylo Ren outfit. If that doesn't
clear your mind, I don't know what will.

I always rush around, I was simultaneously switching the
light off and shutting the door, I was trying to be
efficient, cut corners but it back fires, I think its why I
kept scalding myself as a child

I like twirls, yeah its the cola that makes people plump all
the industrial man man sugar inside. apparently when they
spill vimto in the factory it is so caustic it cleans the
floor like the blood of a facehugger

have you installed led bulbs yet?

if you got leds in the main living areas you would not slam
your fingers in doors so often, perhaps? as they are so
much cheaper. 10 x or so.

also i forgot to mention how to avoid scalding yourself
filling a hot water bottle as you mentioned you had issues a
while ago with slightly shaky hands. You wait for the kettle
to click, then you fill the kettle with some cold water to
cool it a bit so it is hot not boiling. (this avoids the
bubbling you get when trying to fill a HWB) You can stand it
up against the edge of the sink if you have shaky hands,
then just fill slowly so there is always a gap for the air
to exit as you fill the bottle, also prevents bubbling. Then
as you turn the cap to seal the HWB,you gently squeeze any
air out of the bottle. Then fully tighten, not too tight so
to save the rubber seal. also fashy are the best
thermoplastic, they don't smell. you can save hundreds of
pounds a year with a HWB.

"I was simultaneously switching the
light off and shutting the door"

"I caught it in the
hinge bit"

You can turn lights off through hinges? you must have thin
fingers!

yes, when I use a HWB (nice acronym) I do the same procedure
you described, put the top in and screw it in partly and
slowly squeeze out the air

my fingers ate quite thin but not that thin!, I used my
other hand, I ran my finger under the cold tap after it was
squashed for a couple of minutes and that seems to have
mitigated damage and swelling

i regularly have meltdowns, like, CAN I GO FUCKING ONE DAY
WITHOUT INJURING MYSELF OVER SOMETHING AS TRIVIAL AS OPENING
A PACKET OF GROUND BEEF?

this is after i've told myself: we rush through these things
and slip and cut our fingers and slow down so that doesn't
happen. then it's five minutes later and i slip and cut my
finger and it's still not open

so, to answer the OP: yes
