Yeah, oddly enough, I think there was quite a bit of stuff
earthleakage would have enjoyed.

ha! poor bugger was probably in hiding. *ahem*

On the subject of an mp3 of the event... nice but I'm not
sure I'd want to download a huge file which is a low quality
mp3 encoding of an already horribly highly compressed
stream. Seems to me the quality would be poo. Perhaps we
could just leave it as a magic memory.

i think i have the most extensive and availible rip because
i had it going straight to mp3. 6 hours, 5 minutes, 10
seconds.

if anyone has any better then they should upload theirs
instead though.

I have hours 4, 5 and 6-> end edited and ready to post
somewhere.

What bitrate do we want to save these as?

Also, I am OK with someone else doing all of this since
people seem to have recorded the whole thing and whatnot..

I will keep a higher bitrate version for myself. But I will
upload 96k/mono for xlt download.

Whoever else is helping: My segment begins immediately after
the cussing song.

track

I've got a complete recording but for some reason it came
out too loud. It's not unlistenable, but I think the +20db
recording boost must have been enabled, although there's no
option for it in the windows mixer.

well rightbefore that actually, it is about 2-3 minutes of
someone dropping an electric cable into a small mug of
coffee it sounds like, and then r-r-rrrrr-r-r-r-r--rradio

why didn't you just rip it directly to an HD/backup?

I did, well, I was recording with "what u hear", that's the
only way I know of recording winamp streams, it just came
out a lot louder than what I was hearing.

I had to attend some classes, but now I'm about to start
splitting it into 1hr segments. I'll probably have it ready
encoded and uploaded on my webspace atleast until tomorrow
sometimes.

Pomme: I'll have that cussing track the last track of a
section, so it's synchronized with the recording you have.

Yes, but I did a digital recording. As for as the gear is
concerned it is high definition, it doesn't know the quality
of the stream. If I re-encode it again to 96k then it will
just compress it a little more. No big deal to me.. it realy
won't make THAT much of a difference. But to someone like
qrter..

uploaded.

fyi phobia, if you're serious about this, give me a yell -
used to do this kind of stuff for a living. i can probably
offer bandwidth on some relay servers, which will increase
total connections et al.
