yeah, but i dont care the album being short, just the
tunes...
for example frau wav is so fucking awesome and danceable,
but it fades really fast and how are you supposed to dj it
in an hipotetical case?

if you want your set to be dynamic, you shouldn't use more
than 2 minutes of each track anyway :)

Yep, I know what you mean. I used to enjoy some tunes that
fade quite fastly and I cvan say, this is not very nice.
Elusive made a topic about this few days ago, if I remember
correctly.

That's true though, I realized it just when I relistened to
my set I did for the Xltronic radio, perhaps I should have
put 2 minutes or so for each track like you said, especially
for V-proc by Autechre.

its good, but this one really sounds like analord 10

Points: 50073 Status: Moderator | Followup to nacmat: #01846106

are you sure you have the right analord 10?

offline hedphukkerr from mathbotton (United States) on 2006-02-21 11:28 [#01846161]
Points: 8833 Status: Regular

ok finally got my hands on it, so far:

herr barr - @1:30 yep, he sure does have those aphex melty
synths down, ends bit bangin

rescar - yep, clark sure did like analord 10, good length
too, not enough people make 2:30 tracks, which normally
turns out to be the perfect length for the tracks that are
based on one riff. goes on long enough to groove, but you
dont get sick of it.

urgent jell - @1:25 whee!! but i wish there could have been
a bit of a fatty 303 bassline in there or something, woulda
loved that

frau - bouncy funness just like i expected from the warp
site sample

dusk swells - meh, interesting enough, he did pretty much
the same thing to better effect on empty the bones of you
tho.

overalle, i like it, but it wasnt anything mindblowing,
kinda similar to most of the other big recent releases
(analord, untilted, campfire) in the sense that the artists
are done with doing anything ground breaking, theyre just
having a bit of fun now.

i didnt believe you, but now i get the point on what you say
about frau wav and analord... now i love the track even more
:)

I don't think it sounds like analord at all, only thing that
might resemble is the first few bars of the second track.

I'm not questioning Goran's power of suggestion though, that
seems to be working quite well

I honestly can't hear any similarity between Frau Wav and
Analord, the closest to the analogue-esque-ness of Analord
is Re-Scar Kiln and even then the processing and programming
is far too digital for a comparison. You guys and your crazy
mp3-age. My mini 3'' CD and K240 headphones make my ears all
warm and cosy with Clark sounds.

Don't care for Herr Barr
I like Re-Scar Kiln good enough.

And Urgent Jell Hack reminds me of Pro Radii

gave this a few more listens and its growing on me.

i have just come to the conclusion after an initial
speakers-based listening, then two of headphones, and now
another go on speakers, this is such a headphone record.

well, i wish it was a record, this release fucking belongs
on vinyl.

sitting close had to hide their ears from the Urgent Jell
Hack sounds from my headphones.
