i really cant say, i not as finicky for movies as i am music
- i find that i can like parts of a movie and dislike other
parts for instance

avp - had so much promise and it was actually a cool movie,
but i think it suffered from promising too much, it didnt
deliver as far as i am concerned, but then again i enjoyed
parts of it

dawn of the dead remake - it was just alright - i wasnt
really expecting too much, but it got boring quickly

secret window - i think this suffered from the same fate as
avp, it promised too much, and ultimately was a let down, i
do like the ending though

the hardest movie that i ever had to sit through was fear
dot com - that was a terrible movie - but again i can find
spots or in fear dot coms case needle points, where it is a
semi ok flick.

i liked - shaun of the dead, all of the matrices, scorpion
king, american pies, some others mentioned

some of you are so completely wrong about great movies. :P
this comment sums it up: "I like some of PTA's films but
never got this
."

battlefield earth - set a new standard in shit movies.
everything that can go wrong with a film went horribly wrong
in this one. however, it is incredibly funny. not
intentionally funny, but well worth renting to enjoy with
some friends. i've seen it two or three times and it's just
hilarious. my favorite part is the huge punchline at the
end when the first credit is shown (see the film to "get
it").

the hulk - is one of the only films i've ever seen that was
completely, uttlery unwatchable. i couldn't stand it - it
was a total assault on my eyes and ears! i don't know how i
made it through the whole thing - i actually felt sick from
it. unlike battlefield earth, this movie has no
unintentional humour whatsoever; there's nothing to have a
laugh at and enjoy. it's just a long, slow torture.
awful.

the matrix 3 - don't ask me why i went to see it since i
wasn't into the first one and didn't even watch the second.
this movie is just shit, really. utter garbage. the whole
audience in the theater i watched it in was literally
laughing at it by the end, so i know it wasn't just me. we
were all in stitches. the dialogue was fantastic - whoever
wrote it deserves an oscar for completely ignoring the need
for words to have any semblance of meaning. and also, if i
wanted to see a re-telling of the last days of jesus christ,
i would have seen the gibson film. a fucking christian
cross pops out of his chest in case you didn't understand
that he was jesus. so stupid.

"wow you have a really, REALLY bad taste in films!"

Yeah I guess so, because you and Jonathan Ross DO like these
films. Taking a look at your picks however, Matrix
Reloaded,Alien vs. Predator,Men in black 2 , they're a bunch
of cheap shots. At least pick a movie that you thought would
be wonderful since you read all these positive critics
instead of playing it safe and choosing that hollywood pulp.
I just think those movies are terribly shit, end of story,
you like 'em if you want, it's really no problem.

mentioned, but there are certainly a few... as far as shit
films, well of course there's a billion terrible hollywood

i love the kill bills, i dont think you can take them too
seriously, i find them very refreshing to all the big budget
mega star action films that cost a lot more and are supposed
to be taken seriously. also it wasnt qt's fault that it was
split in two. also think trainspotting is pulled off very
well and is also very important.

oh and i hate anything with tom green in too. i'll never let
him have any of my money.

also how anyone can put lotr into this category is beyond
me; you try adapting a thoudand page, fifty year old,
mytholgy. and if you dont like the films then maybe you will
enjoy the book, which is MUCH better.

Killer Tomatoes with a sequel. It is so bad that it's funny
to watch.
Terminator 3

and others which i can't remember.

bollocks... you try directing hundreds of cast and crew. its
fabulous looking, the effects are perfectly rendered and
blended - dont look anything like the cartoon star wars ep1
and 2.

it was an achievement considering how hard it was to do but
there is plenty of dodgy CGI in the films, Legolas climbing
the oliphant and some of the scenes in Moria, being 2 of the
most obvious... there is lots of good CGI as well.

Maybe its just me but I really hated the way action was
directed, way too many close ups, the music was overused and
too loud aswell.

Anyway they aren't 'bad' films, just nowhere near as good as
some people make out, they are very flawed. 12 endings,
silly over the top scenes with Legolas that look like they
came from another hollywood film, overacting from the actor
that played Frodo to name a few.
